Pottersclay you are one of my favorite people on here... But why shouldn't G-d allow evil and sickness into this world? We live in a fallen world. Life now for us is but a vapor... this is not our home, we are sojourners living in tents made of flesh. We (I) will move home, someday, where my real home is; NO SIN, SICKNESS, or DISEASE!!

Hear on Earth I am type I diabetic, my son is autistic, and my mom has stomach cancer. I quit my job to take care of her, so she can have her last days at home.

My Daddy (G-d) has NEVER let me down... I have been a diabetic since I was 7 years old I have no "opathy's"... neuropathy, retinopathy, or any of the "opathys'" that come with Diabetes. My son is more theology than most Christians I know.... He gives me his tablet and phone at night because he does not trust himself to not watch porn. Christians on here defend porn.... How sad!!!!! And my mom... she is 77... she is ready to move!!!! Messiah came to give life and life ore abundantly and heaven is the abundant life!!!! Her body will go to sleep here on Earth for now but she will live in heaven... Does it not say, "I am the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob"?

Why shouldn't G-d allow evil and sickness into this world?

Oh saint I couldn't agree with you more and praise God for your transparency. Allowing evil in this world is so misunderstood by many.
And sometimes we get so out of balance in our personal walk thinking God is mad at us or we sinned and now are being punished.
Some have even gone so far as to say they lost there salvation.
I don't pre tend to know how God does it or why alot of times but I know he does and felt the need to share.
The best story to read to understand more on God using evil is the story of Joseph in the old testament.
Joseph told his brothers "you meant it for evil God meant it for good. " If we could all just have that wisdom that knowledge of knowing. I think we can ......by knowing and believing what God says about himself and us and standing firm on it.

Having you and yours in my prayers saint......

Hello my loving packaderm it's been a while.

I lost two friends from agent orange. I love your thoughts and what's been shown to you but I worry about one thing you said.

"I fully believe and agree that God will be faithful to see us through our trials...........if we remain faithful to Him."

If we remain faithful to him.....God's bigger than that saint ask Peter. He knows the end from the beginning and will never leave or forsake us. I know you know that saint now trust in that.
As far as God testing....with a affliction???? Is that what you wanted to know? I suppose imo God will use any resource to get through our thick heads and harden hearts, but as I said before he alone knows the end from the beginning.
I can't stress enough how God wants us to trust him. Everyone wants that happy ending but because of this world and our fallen state that's not a guarantee this side of heaven.
The trials and tribulation of this world is the fallout of sin but God controls that too. If it were not so there would be no means of escape.
I simply think that there is a difference between causing an affliction an allowing an affliction.
I do not believe He causes a deadly illness...........but He allows deadly illnesses to exist because they are part of the natural process of this fallen creation we live in. (some of this involves free will)

He may and does (at times) place us in positions of hardship to get our attention as in the case of Jonah.
Job is a lesson to study, and I see much of what you say reflected in that Book, but God allowed, He did not create Job's suffering.........well, in my opinion...........and Job stayed faithful, and God rewarded him beyond all his sufferings/losses......

Anyway
God bless you and yours and have a Wonderful Christmas!

:)

That's a good answer.

The problem of evil is brought up from different perspectives, so it's ok to answer it from different perspectives.

The problem can be answered theologically, philosophically, or emotionally, and we should be able to answer it different ways depending on the needs of the person we're talking it.
I agree, it needs to be addressed spirit soul mind and body.
