Jesus laid hands on the children and prayed. He said
"Bring the children to me." The apostles tried to argue
with Jesus but He had none of it. Later on in scripture
He would say that we need to come to God as little
children. In other words we give our own will away and
take on His. The foundation to this is faith and love. A
time for us to really surrender to God. For me, it begs
the question why is there so much disagreement and so
much scorn in Christianity. I've seen televangelists who
put Dr. in front of their name presumably to give them
credibility. It is not our title that matters when we try to
help others in the faith, it is our words and deeds. Our
complete surrender to God. They will come to know us
by our deeds not by our intellect.
As this is the season of the birth of the Child Jesus, may
we also be born as a new horizon of love in our hearts.
