The sweetness of summer
Wakes the world from slumber
Birds begin to build a nest
Until then there is no rest
Til the future is laying there.
Rabbits scurrying amongst shrubs
Find food wherever it may be
Darting and flitting quickly past
So nothing can have them for
Breakfast, they look east and west.
And you, my friend, what can we do
Shall we walk the seaside or see a zoo.
The chill is passing, the day is lasting
We have from morning til night you know.
Why don't we just hold hands
Walk along and think of other lands
And sit somewhere on some greeny grass
Look in the others eyes and watch
The moments pass.
