No Ear Has Heard,

No human mind had conceived the things that God
has prepared for those who love Him. So says Paul
as he is speaking to the uninitiated. He opens the
way for us to speak to unbelievers. He pounces on
them not with wisdom or persuasive words, rather
He outlines all the beautiful things that the Lord
has done for him and what He can do for them. In my
view that is an important distinction from rattling off
scripture verses they can't possibly understand. His
notion is first of all to demonstrate to others, the
power and the glory of God. At this point he and His
companions are not only making them aware of God's
love but demonstrating to them the lifestyle that he
and the entire group lives. He allows everyone to
witness the difference between living in God's love as
opposed to a lifestyle of the flesh. To go deeper will
come later. At that time we will begin to cherish His
sweet adoration for us.

Reminded me of this
Psalm 139: 17. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18. If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I wake up, I am still with you.

Then I was surprised to see that this came next
Psalm 139: 19. If only you, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
