There are many Christians who refuse to believe that the *sons of God* (AS CONTRASTED WITH) *the daughters of men* were evil angels which crossed the boundary between men and angels, and had sexual relations with women.

But that is exactly what the Bible reveals. These angels are called *the angels which kept not their first estate* (Jude) and *the angels that sinned* (Peter), therefore they are imprisoned in Tartarus, and held down with *chains* in darkness, until their final judgment (which is to be cast into the Lake of Fire with the Devil).

The question must be honestly asked as to why a certain group of angels is in prison, whereas evil angels, demons, and Satan are free to roam the earth and influence human beings.

It should not therefore be surprising that their offspring were giants and men of renown, who also corrupted the human race and ultimately brought about the Flood. The Hebrew word translated as *giants* in the KJV (and γίγαντες (gigantes) in the Septuagint) is nephilim, which literally means *fellers*, and therefore tyrants and bullies. There are legends in the mythologies of the world which allude to giants and men of renown, or *gods and heroes*, and all those stories have their origin here. The Book of Enoch (which is regarded as pseudepigraphical) provides considerable detail.

It is disingenuous to claim that *sons of God* represents the line of Seth, while *daughters of men* represents the line of Cain. That is purely an imaginary invention by those who cannot stand the idea that angels can and do take human form, and can function as human males. BTW angels are all invariably masculine, not feminine, as depicted in many pictures. And when they have visited men, they have often appeared as just men.
Both of those views are bogus. The Bible (including Jude & Peter) doesn't reveal that angels knocked up women. And the lines of both Seth & Cain are purely flesh, not spirit.
The sons of God are saved men. The daughters of men are unsaved women. Nothing more.

So what you are suggesting preposterously is that *saved men* corrupted the world and brought about the judgment of the Flood. Do you see how silly that sounds?

Furthermore, all these so-called *saved men* perished in the Flood, since only Noah and his family survived. Now how bogus is that?

Brother Nehemiah: It says in the end times it shall be like in the days of NOAH. Are the nephilim making a comeback? What do you believe? Or did just mean WICKEDNESS in general when it said in the days of Noah? Or that life is regular like Drinking eating marrying building?
No, the Nephilim will not be making a comeback. But Satan and his evil angels will be cast down to earth just before the appearance of the Antichrist (Rev 12,13) and there will be a huge push to increase wickedness on earth. We are already seeing things moving in that direction.

What Christ prophesied means that just as in the days of Noah, the majority of people ignored the warnings of judgment to come (Noah being a preacher of righteousness, 2 Pet 2:4,5), we have the same situation today. Relatively few are responding to the Gospel, while sin and evil are increasing, and so is apostasy in the churches.

The eating and drinking and marrying signify that no one (generally) will be giving serious attention to the welfare of their souls when judgment comes. Add to that the fact that the true Gospel is not really being preached in evangelical and fundamental churches, and the focus of too many churches is entertainment rather than soul-winning. As Jesus said: And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Mt 24:12) Too many Christians are focusing on *end-time* prophecies instead of propagating the true Gospel (not Easy Believism).

What church do you go to?

Can you give me an example of the true gospel? Just seeing if we got the same idea of the true gospel. Repentance and faith. Glad to see you arent into easy believism. :)

Iron mixed with miry clay will be the last kingdoms on earth the
Lord Jesus has to deal with upon His second return. These giants are running amuck once again as in the days of Noah.

I wonder how these people who doubt, explain Goliath and all the other giants written about throughout the Bible?

I've been listening to Dr. Michael Heiser lately; he's written a couple of books on this and related subjects. Reversing Hermon and The Unseen Realm are the titles. I'm looking forward to reading them. He has a regular podcast in which he discusses these issues as well... it's available on YouTube as "The Naked Bible Podcast".
Two great books, must read!!😋

The Sons of God where fallen Angels who left their first estate and sinned.. They desired the daughters of men ( human woman ) and took them as wives and had hybrid Children by them.. This is one of the reasons that caused God to bring about the great flood..

As for those who believe that Angels cannot take on flesh bodies they need to read the story of the destruction of Sodom in the OT.. Read Genesis 18 and Genesis 19 and you will read of Not only two Angels eating a meal prepared for them by Sarah the wife of Abraham but the LORD himself eating the same meal.. You will also read about these two angels traveling to Sodom and physically interacting with LOT physically grabbing him and pulling him into his hut..
You might like to get and watch 3 documentaries of Gen 6, true legions, abt Giants etc.....

Check out 2 Samuel 21:

15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.

16 And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant [Heb. rapha' ], the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.

17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.

18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant [Heb. rapha' ].

19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant [Heb. rapha' ].

21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David slew him.

22 These four were born to the giant in Gath [Heb. rapha' ], and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

shrug ... I don't know. God sure does want us to take note of them and not allow them to confound the faith of those who have had to deal with them.

As far as whether we are still dealing with nephilim / rephaim in our day and time, I sometimes wonder when I see the vileness of those who are so evil there is no fathoming their complete and utter hate. Kinda leaves me scratchin' my head over that verse where Jesus states as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man (Matt 24:37, Luke 17:26).

Some of the things we read and hear about are so abhorrent it goes beyond "natural man" foolishness / thinking and follows along the lines of absolute spiritual wickedness of the evil one.

I agree with the first part; the sons of God are believers.
But I think the daughters themselves were unbelievers.
YES, agreed.....which is why I said it was a mixed marriage.......between a believer and a non-believer.

Since when did the relationship between a believer and an unbeliever result in a giant.

What we have is a strange mixing of flesh. See Jude.

I worked for RiceTec in Alvin Texas about a year and a half(1991-92) when they first began developing gmo and hybrid rice. It is owned by Prince of Liechtenstein(ceo Phillip Erasmus at that time). What you ask is not that far fetched in the modern day, UNESCO is trying ban genetic alterations on humans as we speak because scientist in the UK,China and US have already edited human DNA in embryos. Homo Sapiens have 23 chromosomes while Neanderthals have/had 24 which would not mean much unless you knew that Europeans, east Asians ect. still hold 66-70% Neanderthal dna(24 chromosomes). Only about 20% of Neanderthal dna has survived from studies done from 2010 to 2016 so estimates are between 1.5-2.5% of the worlds population have chromosomes that could be used in modification. lol, now why scientist are looking for this so hard is anyone's guess but if you google any of what I said you might find it interesting.

Giant is a brutal ruler? It just so happens that these "brutal" rulers are 10-12 feet tall and some taller.

The term son of God in Scripture is attributed to a being that is sinless in it's creation. Adam was a son of God. Lucifer and all created beings are sons of God. After the fall, no one was a son of God. Seth was begotten after Adam's fallen image. Seth was not created a sinless being.

After the fall, the only way to become a son of God is to be born again as a child of God through the new birth by believing the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You become a new creature in Christ, a sinless child of God.

Seth could not have been a son of God.

STUDY and then try to be challenging.
RAPHAIM is giant
Nephilim is tyrant, brutish

so far your questions come from an apostate understanding of scripture

Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. Then the Lord said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
Genesis 6:1‭-‬4 NASB

This has always been a bit confusing to me. Who is the sons of God, and what relationship is the nephilim or Giants to the men of renoun?

There was a direct Command by God to not touch the human woman in a sexual way. Obviously, some of the fallen angels (not all of them) disobeyed God and did just the opposite of what God commanded.

There is a theory, that this is what Peter was referring to in chapter 2 of his 2nd Epistle, that speaks of the history of the old world before the flood of Noah.

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

The word for hell here, is the Greek myth Tartarus.
Since we know Peter's Epistles were written in Rome, he might have picked Tartarus so the Gentiles would understand better, since there was already a myth legend of Giants being cast into Tartarus who tried to defeat the Greek gods.

Certainly not a godly man and ungodly woman. I know several ungodly women married to godly men and vice versa, and none of their children are giants.
