On this narrow way to heaven
Things aren't always smooth and clear
There are times to climb high mountains
And sometimes the path is drear

Jesus said to strive to enter
But the real test is to stay
On the straight and narrow path we travel
That leads to eternal day

There will be times you're discouraged
And feel like you can't go on
Look to Jesus, you will find rest
He'll give you strength to carry on

Lay aside the sin that besets you
Run the race to the crown of life
Look to Jesus, the author and finisher
In Him we have eternal life

Don't quit, listen to God's Spirit
don't quit, run the race and finish it
