Depressed/Suicidal teenage Daughter

Hello everyone,

Asking for prayers for Prayers for Ashley P. My wife and I found a message on Instagram from Ashley to a friend that is alarming. The message was sent on Sunday. She mentioned in the message about ending it all, that the inner demons keep taking her to the medicine cabinet. she feels there is no God, and she is getting more depressed, and that therapy isn’t working which she went to three sessions with a Christian Therapist.

It breaks my heart to hear her say that she feels there is no God as she is a Christian and seems like she does seek out Jesus. We talked about upping her therapy possibly seeing a psychiatrist, she is totally against that. She says God told here she doesn’t need any therapy or Meds, which to me she is contradicting herself.

I hid all medications in the hose under lock and key, and all sharp objects.

Prayers headed your way. I would suggest trying to find some clear answers such as whether or not she believes in God. This will help going forward.

Father God , bless this prayer for Ashley, please heal her, emotionally, physically and spiritualy. Bless her to be victorious overs these demons and praise you, Lord let Ashley feel your love, grace, power in her life. Please bless, in Jesus Holy name, Amen!

Jay-Pee my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. Sad affair indeed. Definitely not an issue that will get resolved over night my friend. Many issues keep us in that state of mind.
Diet, Chemical imbalances and train of thought are some of them that can be resolved. All of which take time. And time my friend is the main issue here. She should be admitted. If she is speaking of doing such a thing, most professionals would recommend at this time that she be admitted.
Why? Mainly to keep her safe. But that is not skinny of it. Her train of thought needs to be reconditioned. This only happen through constant positive reinforcements; intense therapy sessions. Which would include group and life management classes over a period of time, constantly. Hence the need for in-house clinical care.

Ashley is not alone; GOD is with us. But sometimes we need pushed to heed to HIS will. Please keep us informed. As I said my heart goes out to you.
