My name is Adam. I consider myself an evangical baptist. I live in Appleton, WI. My main reason for being here is it to meet Christian women as I am actively pursuing marrige. My church is small and there isn’t anyone for me to pursue there.

I did state my intro well. I’m not looking to meet women here and I’m not interested in online dating. I just have no idea how to meet someone and I’m looking for guidance. It is also not prohibited to post looking for someone. I’m aware of the intent of the site. Keep your judgment to yourself.

In your intro, you stated and I quote, "my main reason for being here is to meet Christian women". Unless that was a typo and you meant "isn't".

I wasn't judging, but the rules here do state that CC's primary purpose is not to be a dating site. :)

The red letters aren’t necessary. Seems like you’re just looking for a reason to pounce. I read the intros stating the intent. It clearly states that looking for a spouse is not prohibited only met with distain. It’s not like I’m trolling anyone. The fact that so many harbor distain and are looking for a reason to express it concerns me more than some posting looking for a spouse.

I'm not pouncing on anything. The reason it's met with disdain here is because many come here and PM us women for far more nefarious purposes than just seeking a mate. And the women here don't like it.

And I never said you were a troll. So why are you getting all defensive?

Have you tried asking friends to set you up with women they know, who are also looking for a guy to meet?

I’m not really interested in having someone play match maker. Then feelings get hurt when it doesn’t work out and the friendship is in jeopardy. Most of my current friends are from purity groups. I walked away from my old life when I was saved and I’m starting over.

True, I dated a couple friends of mine, the relationships went south because they cheated, and our friendships got ruined. But yeah, I guess match making isn't always a good idea.

Hello Adam;

Welcome to Christian Chat! My wife and I have discussed visiting Appleton besides the other cities in Wisconsin, one day, preferably during May and June. I heard its beautiful that time of the year.
