says who?

how about the rejection of the Holy Spirit? where does that come from?

seems that could be an evil spirit as well. I mean if you are going to call the Holy Spirit evil, that cannot be God

that's the problem with so many of you folk...you see a video and ASSUME everyone has an evil spirit yet you have no problem concluding you don't

hmmmm
I’ve never called the Holy Spirit evil. I assert that many are led astray and embrace a spirit that is not the Holy Spirit. Discernment is a gift and we are called to test spirits not blindly accept. If that is your assertion then we should accept Muslims, Jehovah’s Witness, and Mornans as their founders received visions from angels sent from God. No, they were deceive by Satan.

It is part of the doctrine for the Assembly’s of God.
actually it is part of scripture

just another Baptist who thinks he knows everything

(sorry to all Baptists who are not of the same persuasion, but constantly hearing all Charismatics and Pentecostals have an evil spirit is kind of over the top. )

I never said it’s a group of people 🤣. It’s a serpentine spirit that coils around the spine. It is not the Holy Spirit yet a Pentecostal revival is identical to a kundalini awakening in Hinduism.
not it is not. You have to go and seek a false cult and pagan belief to disprove a gift of the Holy Spirit. Yet No Pentecostal would go to a meeting like that as we were taught. And you have a very big presupposition, all the people in your kundini video had to have been taught that. You assume they all were. You think one who asked for the empowering of the Holy Spirit end up with some kind of cult power, one of which they never knew about or were taught of. They come to seek God and get the devil as if God is a lair . what a foolish thought.

Yet the kundalini found them and they have embraced it. One doesn’t need to seek the Holy Spirit. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. I never said don’t lay on hands but test the spirit before accepting anything.
really Ok you show me in the Bible not some opinion of your cultic video.

the major misunderstanding anti-tongues folks seem to have is that only Charismatics and or Pentecostals speak in tongues

that is not true and never was. perhaps that is an attempt to make it sound as if those 2 denoms were handing out the tongues?

I received the gift long before I ever either went to one of those 2 denoms and was brought up to be anti-tongues

there are enough rumors that people try to present as fact, to discourage anyone

it's pretty sad
Discouraging is when people tell you. If you dont speak in tongues, then you are not a real christian.
And this I ever and ever heared. As well from pentecostals as from charismatics.
Without scripture proof, alone because of man doctrine.
Should I let me discourage because of this.
Since I became a christian I got the gift to destinguish the spirits. And when it comes to pentecostal and charismatic doctrine, my impression is that there a different spirit behind.

you know less than was at first evident

you call the Holy Spirit evil whenever you confuse (often it seems) Him for a kundalini spirit...which I am positive you really know little about other than what you learned on youtube

how can you test spirits without the Holy Spirit?

look dude, you are ignorant of scripture and are trying to come across as someone who is educated

Im just going on my evening jog, I came to ask if everyone agrees with me yet? Or are you guys STILL wrong? Oy vey!

The faster everyone agrees with me, the faster we get rid of division and false doctrine.

The cessationist case CANNOT be made biblically, the argue that "that which is perfect" is the Bible is LUDICROUS! Nobody had the Bible like we do until a couple of centuries ago, and even then many werent able to read! Gifts are operating UNTIL Jesus returns, FACT. I dont care what anyone says. The Scriptures are clear, deal with it.

Now off to my jog, get to it and agree!
From the scripture itself, we get a different picture.

1. Revelation being the last book was written real time:
Rev 1:1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time isat hand......
19Therefore write down the things you have seen, and the things that are, andthe things that will happen after this.

Romans to Jude are letters written real time by the apostles.

Based on this alone, i don't see why anyone would conclude that scriptures were written beyond the 1st century.

2. Gospels were ready too:

1 Cor 15:2By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Very bad argument to support a false doctrine of meaningless words.

Jesus did and Paul did teach on the empowering of the Holy Spirit it is in Acts 19: 2. Your assertion is not Biblical
Well, you may believe it. I cant see any scripture proof for this teaching.

Demons can be passed on through the laying on hands. I’ve heard Pentecostals say that if you can’t achieve tongues on your own then find a someone to impart the spirit on to you.

Acts 2 is fulfillment of prophesy. To the Jew first then to the Gentile. Acts of the Apostles reaching out to Jews with the gospel. Receiving persecution and dispersion for their efforts. Gospel then went to the Gentiles. At Pentecost the Spirit came to fill with power to minister. The Spirit gave Peter the words to speak to those present. Thousands were converted because of the message declaring Christ as the promised Messiah.

For the cause of Christ

wrong. Yet again you do not see what Peter said Fully. Your known un -wavering bais rises again. Acts 2:21

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

What I was taught in the church that I grew up in is sanctification is the way you live your life. Yet when I studied the scriptures on my own, I found that Holy Spirit is our sanctification. It is He who gives us revelation truth about our inheritance that Jesus has given us. But, we understand these things in part here on earth. In heaven we will have the perfect being in the presence of God.

We need Holy Spirit and His giftings. Otherwise without Him, the teaching becomes rules after rules, precepts after precepts, dry services. Though a salvation minded meeting can be fiery in Word, worship in Spirit and truth is missing. God wants to be present with us as much as we will welcome Him.

Yet the word cessationist is not in the word of God . it is a created term by a secular humanist.

I am not discounting any gift of the Holy Spirit. Only the assertion that tongues is to be a sign for every believer. That is in direct contrast to Paul’s teaching. The gifts are given uniquely as the Spirit sees fit.

as equal those who say you have a devil when you do speak in tongues. They are both wrong.
