And I Will Give You Rest,

Jesus goes on to say "My yoke is easy and my burden
is light" So we need to come to Him in humility and our
need. We are to become humble as He is humble. So
our primary focus in life is to let go of our pride and take
all Jesus says and does as example of all we should be.
It is also necessary to come to Him with our burdens of
sin. We need to know that He will forgive us and also
accept in our hearts that we have been forgiven. Once
our sin is forgiven, it is forgotten by our Lord. If we do
not accept our sin is gone and forgiven by Him, then we
do not trust Him. We are not really forgiven unless we
forgive ourselves. Each time He forgives us we begin
again and are reconciled in Him. Then we need to know
that we do our best and sin no more. Adhering to that is
a real growth in our Christian development. So we may
be weary but we are not broken.

That passage was spoken to the Apostles, not unbelievers!
