Were your own family supportive of your missions. I think those on missions tend to want think the missions fields are more important than ones own family..but often the reality is at certain times your own family needs you more. But thats not to say they will always need you. Maybe its just Gods timing.

The best place to be is the centre of Gods will.
I dont know if Proverbs 18:22 means anything to you...? Its just something i got praying about this.

Sometimes missions boards feel more can be more accomplished if they are couples. I dont know if you married or not. But certainly single women can do a lot more than married couples on mission fields depending on where they sent...am thinking people like corrie ten boom, jackie pullinger, gladys aywarld etc. i think with many mission boards (and Ive talked with a few) they are wanting support from your church family too, all the people that send you out need to support you including whoever youve left behind. This can be hard for christians who come from an unbelieving family. Because they are not understanding your heart.

Am not sure about God being silent is exactly the same as his still small voice. It would be a relative silence compared with the obvious ways we may think God speaks to us. But do understand that it may require fasting as well as prayer sometimes theres long delays. If you are tired and weary dont keep bearing the burden just lay it at the feet of the cross.

Thank you all for your replies... The only answer I have right now is to seek the Lord to love Him with all my heart. That is where my answer will come from and that is the secret to happiness and fulfillment. Like Hudson Taylor said, "I can receive the greatest answers to prayer when my heart feels like wood." Maybe that is why God allows us to go through these seasons. You all made me think, I really appreciate the counsel. God bless all of you...
