5. Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in your virtue knowledge;

6. and in your knowledge self-control; and in your self-control patience; and in your patience godliness;

7. and in your godliness brotherly kindness; and in your brotherly kindness love.

8. For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9. For he that lacketh these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins. (2 Peter 1)

If our knowledge is true, we will be fruitful in the Lord Jesus Christ. In contrast if we love this world more than God we will stay in darkness, and our deeds are not good, because our treasure is not in Heaven, but in this world, and this world holds our hearts, so it can't be loyal to God. This is the sad state how I see today's christianity.

We are called to be fruitful, and loyal in Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen, I cant bear to see anyone who is mean and stingy and calls themselves christian.

Kindness is a fruit of the holy spirit thats often forgotten. Sure people talk about love, and many think oh just cos theyve maybe got a spouse thats enough to show that they love, or are loved to the world but if they are mean to them and not kind, it doesnt matter if they married at all, it would mean nothing if they could not show them or anyone else any kindness.

In the kjv bible love is often translated as charity. When people think of charity they dismiss it because charity is not often seen as love or a lower form of it, but in fact it is a higher form of it because its unconditional.

It does not matter if the other person cant give anything back, you give to them, anyway! All thats needed is 'thank you' and thats all God asks of us.

Most born again children of God do not have a true knowledge of the righteousness of God, in the fact, that they do not understand the finished work of Christ on the cross and are going about trying to finish his work themselves. Rom 10 explains this concept and that they are not bearing much fruit. That is why Jesus instructed his apostles to go and preach to the lost sheep (regenerate children) of the house of Israel (not the nation of Israel, but spiritual Israel, which is Jacob) to teach them about the finished work of Christ, the GOOD NEWS.
