We Are The Clay,

God becomes the potter, we become the clay. He is
the one who will mold us and fashion us so that we
may become the work of His hands. In a way while
at first the verse sounds a bit silly and unreasonable,
but upon further reflection it is telling us that we are
in His hands. Scripture tells us that we need to come
to Him like a child. His ways are much higher than our
ways and He is our perpetual Boss. So that is telling
us to become childlike in His hands. Childlike is not
the same as childish. In other words we surrender to
Him with a purpose and not treat it as a game. We
have the will so say, yes Lord I love you and I need
you every day of my life.

He is in total sovereign control of us and does as He Will's. We do not come to him and more than clay does. This verse teaches the absolute sovereignty of God.

Glory to God in the highest, amen.
