Why Do They Celebrate Good Friday on a Friday?
The reason why Catholics and other Protestants continue to commemorate Jesus’ crucifixion on a Friday is because they do not celebrate the Passover, so they have no way to know when the Feast of Unleavened bread has to be kept.

In the year 325 AD through the Council of Nicaea, the Roman Emperor Constantine abolished the Passover. This meant that Christians were not allowed to keep the Passover in accordance with the date in the Bible, which is the 14th day of Aviv. But, once they abolished the Passover they also had no way to know on which day Resurrection day should be kept since it is based on the Feast of Firstfruits. Thus, they decided that Resurrection Sunday (which they called Easter) would be held on the first Sunday after first full moon occurring on or after the vernal equinox.

Since they calculated their celebration of the Resurrection based on the vernal equinox, they just conveniently made the Friday before their resurrection Sunday “Good Friday.” They do this since two thousand years ago was crucified on a Friday and Resurrected on a Sunday.

In conclusion, for Christians who keep the Passover in accordance with what the Bible says, we commemorate Jesus’ sacrifice by fasting on the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Mark 2:18-20). For this reason, we do not need to participate in the erroneous ceremony called “Good Friday.”

In reality, the only thing that’s good about Friday is that the next day is Sabbath.

Not necessarily by the popes, but perhaps by bishops and popes. You won't find any Scriptures for these traditions, but if they can have any positive spiritual influence, then we need not worry about it. No one will change them because you object.

I never heard that before, what is your proof please. Also, if that happened he was not in the tomb three days and nights by Jewish Reckoning right?

None of those things are specifically outlined in Scripture, yet we do them and there's nothing wrong with that.

We are permitted to do what the Bible does not expectantly forbid like Driving a Car or using modern tools.

Any Church or denomination is allowed to administer their church as they see fit, including setting up Holidays to glorify our Lord.

Its passover that Jesus observed, not easter or any specific days of the week. Thursdays, fridays, saturdays were not what the jewish people followed rhey had their own days of the week. And they dont always correspond with the gregorian calendar as its a lunar calendar not solar.

Its just become a RC church tradition like christmas has..and saints days etc. in the RCC church, those hoildays got made into state holidays were everyone was obligated to observe and had to attend church. Its not a bad thing...we get the day off. But its not actually the same calendar God followed for the feasts and sabbaths he wanted the Israelites to observes. If we truly followed the jewish calendar, we would have every seventh year off from work and every fiftieth a jubilee. We would also celebrate all the other feasts. Sukkot, shauvot, feast of tabernacles, purim, day of atonement, hannukah...

So What, there are many pagan things in our daily lives that we employ and do not worship pagan beings, gods like names of months, wedding rings, bomb fires, and so on.
