I have been feeling depressed and was listening to some old music playlists from several years ago when I was getting high a lot. Like the music made me feel so depressed and hopeless you know like bringing back a lot of dissappointment. Trying to get away from depressing music and movies which is what I tend to go for. Do you guys know of any good Christian movies? Thinking about watching something but idk what are some good ones.

The Oscar winner that comes to mind first is, Chariots of Fire. It's definitely not depressing :)

Ben-Hur (the old one if memory serves is far more overtly Christian).

War Room. It's a movie about Christian prayer and it's available to buy in HD for $4.99, or to rent for $3.99 at Amazon today: https://www.amazon.com/War-Room-Alex-Kendrick/dp/B017OJL48G

God's Not Dead - also available at Amazon today to rent $3.99/to buy $4.99- https://www.amazon.com/Gods-Not-Dea...is+dead&qid=1555987348&s=instant-video&sr=1-1

Risen is a GREAT movie, with incredible cinematography and obviously very timely at this time of the year.

The Case for Christ - is a very well-done book made into a very well-done movie.

Polycarp - https://www.amazon.com/Polycarp-Gar...fix=polycarp,instant-video,129&sr=1-1-catcorr (very interesting and very well-done, though it will give you more than a taste of what being a faithful Christian was like in the 2nd Century in a pagan, Roman world)

You might give these guys a try as well: https://pureflix.com/

Enjoy :)

A couple of documentaries that are both VERY good are these:

The God Who Speaks (available in HD streaming at Amazon to rent or buy)

Is Genesis History? (also available to rent or buy in HD at Amazon) - also, there are a ton of excellent videos online at the Is Genesis History? website that you can check out for free!

Both movie/documentaries have amazing, all-star casts, and both are extremely well-done :)

I liked (sea biscuit), not really a Christian movie but a good family movie about perseverance.

A Christian movie I really enjoyed was Do You Believe? It featured many recognizable faces, including Lee Majors, Cybill Shepherd, Mira Sorvino, Sean Astin (he was also an associate producer), and Brian Bosworth, among others... Here is what imdb says of it:

When a local pastor is shaken to the core by the visible faith of an old street corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a faith-fueled journey that powerfully impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate. More than a movie, it's a question we all must answer in our lifetimes: DO YOU BELIEVE?
