I have seen several in my life.

I saw one called "The Ten Commandments". It was long and had two parts. The first part was a modern day story (back in the 20's or 30's) about living life for your own gain. The second part was about the ten commandments.

Another one was "Phantom of the Opera".

And I remember another one about a spider that got bigger and bigger as it walked. It was intriguing and scary to young mind and I don't really remember anything else about it.

I did enjoy watching them. It is quite a different experience.

Yes. I would go on a date to a silent film, but not a first date.

I saw "A quiet place" but it was not totally silent.

Going to that kind of movie would be awkward I guess.

I'm pretty positive I'd talk through the whole thing ...so I'm not a good candidate to go on a date to one .

Interesting title for a silent film. 🤔

I know what you mean though, they usually aren't silent. Lots of organ music.

A Quiet Place is not really a silent film. It is a horror film where the characters keep quiet and use sign language because the monsters will eat them if they make a sound. I don't think I saw an actual silent film.

Oh. Okay. Now that you say that I think my kids were telling me about it.

That is possibly the ONLY kind of movie that it would be OKAY to talk through! What dialog would anybody around you miss? Go ahead, knock yourself out.
