Make Yourself A New Heart And New Spirit,

And actually each time we repent and accept God's
forgiveness, we begin a new life. Removal of our
sins by God means we are reconciled again, we
start at the beginning again. That has been given
to us by Jesus on the cross. Through Jesus who
died for us, God became a God of redemption and
not a God of retribution. This, the final covenant of
God is that He will forgive. To be sure we are now
again starting fresh means that it is not only words.
It means we stop sinning, continue to work hard so
we don't sin again. Because forgiveness is of no
use to us if we carry on sinning again and make no
attempt to change. So then the new Spirit has really
not changed our hearts. We always need to struggle
to be pure of heart.
