Yes, many times. Lots of verses in the Psalms about trusting God. If you look up the word trust in a bible concordance, you will find tons of verses on that subject. One of the most popular verses on trust is
Proverbs 3:5-6: " Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." ( KJV )

Thank you, I guess I meant more between humans. But yes that is a nice verse.

Jeremiah 17:5-8 New King James Version (NKJV)

5 Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his [a]strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
And shall not see when good comes,
But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
In a salt land which is not inhabited.

7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not [b]fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

When we fear, it's hard to trust in anything else other than our feeling for the situation

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me: your mercy, O LORD, endures forever: forsake not the works of your own hands. Psalm 138:8

God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you (2 Thess. 1:6).

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thess. 3:3)

I can’t trust someone I do not know.

We trust God more and more as we get to know Him more by praying, reading our Bible, having conversations with Him, going through experiences with Him - He proves Himself faithful.

The same is true with people except, people can be unstable and need a bit of grace and wisdom extended to them when it comes to trust.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is Faithful and True - very trustworthy!

And lafftur's apologetics

God cannot lie because every word that proceeds out of His mouth comes to pass. It becomes true. ~lafftur

Choice is necessary for love to exist, therefore love is evidence of freedom

Jesus has done the trusting for us at Calvary. We place and maintain our Faith in Him and the Finished Work at Calvary Cross so that the life of Christ is manifested through the power of the Holy Spirit that brings the victory in whatever is needed.

Remember we are the "Temple of God." Our "Temple" is built through grace by faith only.

So what about when humans break trust?

The worst case scenario, both breaks each other's trust and there is no hope of reconciliation between two people

And there are Bible verses

It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put your confidence in man - Psalms 118:8

And even if we are faithless, God is faithful for he cannot deny himself - 2 Timothy 2:13

What does he cannot deny himself mean?

That is very painful but, to be expected because we all make mistakes.

It really hurts if the trust was broken on purpose- not by mistake.

As people we make all kinds of promises..... business loans, contracts and agreements, verbal promises, marriage promises, etc.

There is no way for anyone to absolutely promise ANYTHING because we are not in control of all the variables.

On Earth, we’re going to have to go through the “letting go” phase, meaning we have to let go of our dependency (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, dreams, goals and desires) on people, things, jobs, and animals.

If we try to hold on to them, we end up devastated and spiral into depression and anger.

The ONLY ONE we get to hold on to that NEVER leaves us is God - The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Understand that people, jobs, houses, cars, pets, things come and go in our life on Earth. Don’t hold on too tightly - just enjoy while you have them and always be ready to let go.

Thanks for the advice.
