Here is a poem I wrote during a fast while I was reading the book of Matthew that I have read in the chatroom and was asked to post it so people could copy it. I feel it was meant to be shared as it is very encouraging and inspired by Jesus's own words in scripture.
It's named simply A Love Letter From Jesus. Enjoy

Doesn't matter what trouble comes your way
don't lose heart over the trials that you face
just keep your eyes fixed on Me
and be brave enough to follow My lead
the path is narrow, but the rewards are great
and I walked it before you to show you the way
so follow the the path and have no fear
for the kingdom of heaven is near!

Cherish my words and hide them in your heart
and have the faith to finish what I start
for you were created to do good things
Abide in me and see what joy it brings!
you are the light on a hill
the salt of the earth
my sacrifice shows your true worth
you are my beloved all who take up your cross
and have taken the time to consider the cost

Many are called but few are chosen
I send invitations..but how few have been opened
the table is being prepared for the feast
where the least will be greatest and the greatest shall be least
so open my invitation now and your place will be reserved
and wash your robes in my presence until I return

Humble yourselves before me and put me first in your lives
truly love one another and put away strife
serve one another gladly and give yourselves to my work
fulfill the great commission and faithfully look
for the heavens to open from the eat to the west
and I will return to give you your rest

No more tears will you shed
no more struggles to face
The course has been set
now go run your race
keep your eyes on your eternal life hidden with me
hold on till the and and my glory you shall see

Keep your lamps filled with oil and the wicks burning bright
and prepare for my coming both morning and night
keep following the path and have no fear
keep your eyes open and have ears to hear
for the kingdom of heaven is near!
