Yup that's how to do it.

I have had it malfunction though, and suddenly I was typing words phonetically. I was still typing letters that made the right sounds though.
Hahaha... This reminds me how I had an alternative phonetic pronunciation so I could remember how to spell the word. Sometimes when speaking the phonetic version wold pop in there. It was embarrassing, to say the least. giggle.gif

So I'm finding myself with this thought lately, " wow, that disgusts me". It's so against my nature and I'm really wondering what I need to change in myself, not to have that thought or reaction. My initial thought is that maybe it stems from disappointment, but I'm not sure. I just know it feels out of place.

I'm very recently single, and my friend suggested I try a couple dating apps lol... which I've never used one before. So, I set them up and I did not know it was this easy to get dates/interest. My mind is kind of blown. xD I did meet one girl for lunch yesterday and it went really well.

At the same time, I've been in one relationship or another for 8 of the last 9 years. I'm kind of enjoying not being in one, so I'm in a weird place where I don't want anything really, but also feel intrigued to see what's out there. An adventure I guess.
I'd think it's a bad idea to delve into that. You know you're not really interested in getting into a relationship so sniffing around at people who are serious will probably not have a good outcome. You'll get bored with someone and they'll end up hurt. It seems there are healthier places to put your time and focus.

What disgusts you? Something specific? Yourself? Or do you mean that you've found yourself thinking that about various things?

My girl Fifi passed away Wednesday night. Please pray for me to get through this. It’s been a tough two days. She was with me for 13 years almost half my life!

Nah. Disagree. It's good to get out. Dates aren't commitments and it's not "sniffing." These things have bios for a reason, so you can find people who are like-minded and looking for the same things you are. Some people just like to get out, go on dates, have a nice time and make a friend. Many people aren't looking for anything serious, but eventually you find someone who changes your mind. You can't do that sitting on the couch. My focus is just fine.

It has been a hot minute since I've posted on this thread....or any thread...but especially this thread. Last time I was here reconnecting this thread was WAY down on the list and no one was really commenting. It kind of makes me feel like I'm coming back to something familiar and nostalgic with it being back towards the top of the list.
I don't have a lot of time to get back here since I'm in school again. I start nursing school in August and I will likely be even more busy. I do still hope to make it back here from time to time to keep connected. I hope everyone is well. ❤

Quote of the day from a teenage girl: "I once envied Harry Potter because he could talk to snakes, but it turns out I've been talking to them for years".

Is this in response to people's lack of morals or values? If so, I know the feeling.

It's very much related to lack of morals or values. In the instances I'm thinking about, they are all very close friends/family members and they are changing what they believe, according to the new people/groups they are hanging out with. I guess it makes me sad and it's hard to believe what people do to be approved by others. It kinda makes me physically sick.

When I fed my dog this morning I started thinking about how much dogs are like humans.

If you give a dog a whole fifty pound bag of dog food he will eat far too much. Then he will worry himself to death guarding the pile so no other dog will get it.

Maybe there's a good reason God has not made me rich. "Give us this day our daily bread." Although I would like the secure feeling of having all my "bread" for the rest of my life piled up now, it would probably be bad for me.

You created a great visual!! I think it would be bad for most, of not all.
