The Intelligence Of The Intelligent I Will Frustrate,
Paul goes on to say we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling
block to the law and foolishness to gentiles. So in order for
us to really understand Christ on the cross it is necessary
for us to humble ourselves, leave intellect behind and come
to Christ as a child. Christ becomes everything to us, we
become a new creation in Him. His authority is love, since
he preached simplicity rather than complexity. He preached
love over the law since He gave us one commandment and
that is "Love one another as I have loved you". For Jesus,
love fulfilled all the law and if we don't comprehend that, if
we choose to complicate that, we miss the entire message
of Christ. It is necessary for us to empty ourselves and then
to start over again. Complicating the simple is a repulsive
errand. Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come
again. How simply Jesus challenged Peter with 3 questions.
"Do you love me Peter, to which Peter replied; yes Lord I love
you then Jesus said again peter do you love me; again Peter
said; yes Lord I love you and then Jesus said Peter do you
love me and Peter said; Lord you know all things, you know I
love you. Jesus said go Peter and feed my sheep. When we
come before the Lord in Heaven, will He have a hundred
questions exam for us to fill out or will He ask "Do you love me".
