What is more important? The why we do something (example: because I love people) or how we do it (example: this is the way Jesus said to love people)? Would Jesus be seen more in or why (motive) or in how we actually carry out that why? This may seem to be the same thing, but after reading many posts in this forum, it seems to be very different.

With all your mind, all you soul, and all your strength.
Dont be doubleminded, saying I love Jesus then do the opposite and start hating your brothers and sisters Jesus died for. Really it has to be all or nothing. Nobody gets baptised halfway.

Rely on the Bible.
Many posts here and elsewhere...are miss leading.
I have not seen Christ do or say anything in conflict with His intent.

I think both are equally important.

It says in 1 John 4:1-26 that we know we are born of God if we love other brothers and sisters of the church. I don't have to tell u that love is really hard work sometimes or even most of the time.

Yes, I agree......the "why" is more important than the "how."
