Is salvation as simple as believing Jesus paid for your sins, that He's the Son of God, God Himself (the second Person of the Trinity), that He rose from the dead on the third day, and that He is Lord? Is there anything else someone needs to believe that anyone would include with these things?

That's pretty good. Please read the account of the thief on the cross with Jesus. What did he say or do that resulted in Jesus Christ telling him, "This day you will be in Paradise?" :eek:

I guess he believed Jesus was who He was(?), because he said, "Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." (quoted KJV because of copyright)

Just correcting this for clarity. Might be bad or incorrect grammar.

There is a little more details if you read Luke 23:39-44. What point did the thief make that resulted in what Jesus said at vs43? :eek:

I agree! Salvation is simple,by faith we believe He paid for our sins before repentance!! We continue to ABIDE IN HIM and follow His examples to overcome and become strengthened in our walk with Him! We have Him as our supreme advocate if we FAIL to live above sin,but when we confess such failures,He forgives! Salvation is NOT what some find hard to grasp.....IT'S THE WALK....FOLLOWING HIM!💖💖💖

Yes but remember, the belief must be a deep heart held belief..

salvation isn't a magic sentence you recite, it's based on faith/belief that you hold in your heart.

If you feel you lack a complete or trusting belief, you can always ask God to help you with areas in your heart that hold any doubt or unbelief..

You don't have to know everything, you just have to believe and trust in Him as your Lord and Savior..

Believe in Christ to become your Saviour. Bible verses below shows that someone may claim Christ is God yet it is important that he become "our Saviour." Salvation, saved, sin, sinner requires a Saviour!

Titus 2:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

2 Peter 1:1 King James Version (KJV)
1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Acts 3 King James Version (KJV)
3 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Our situation is like a lame man who has been healed. His walk and talk is a result of faith in the name of Jesus Christ. Well the lame man expected something from Peter and John yet the best gift ever they gave is a complete healing saving his life from the street. Wow! Salvation! Amen!

I do not disagree. I would however wonder what and how this man followed Jesus after his miraculous healing in the name of Jesus!! 💖💖💖

Acts 3 would end the story with these but no longer know what happened to him after. Perhaps, I could not assumed.

I have seen God do so many wonders of healings in ppls lives,but it is so sad to say they did not follow Him after! How I wonder knowing IT WAS GOD THAT TOUCHED ,even after being given a death sentence,they did not followHim!💖💖💖

There is a little more to it than that. The thief admitted/repented that he deserved to be crucified for his crimes this is why Jesus acknowledged that he would be in Paradise with Jesus. Bottom line, Gid/Jesus Christ knows your heart. Also notice the thief did not have to speak in tongues or get water babtized to be with Jesus. In fact the thief believed and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. :eek:
