Jesus Said Go Sell What You Have
And Give To The Poor,
But He Was Sad At This Word,
The rich man could not give away what he had because
He had many possessions. Scripture also said in another
place "You can't have two masters so it is either money or
it is God". At the same time Jesus remonstrated His
disciples for chasing away the children and as an example
that their young minds are open to the truth. They have not
yet had the time to be set in their ways so they were, they
still wanted to learn. So Jesus is telling us that we cannot
enter the kingdom without surrendering all to Him. It is His
will that has to be done and not our own. Jesus has to be
first in our lives and everything else comes after Him. At first
it is hard to even imagine that, yet this is what He tells us we
must do. From experience I can say His way brought much
more joy into my life than my way ever even came close to
doing.
