Paul will always be first for me, but Mary Magdalene is a close second.

Both experienced the power of Jesus that changed the course of their lives dramatically, resulting in great love of Him, and an all out die for Him life.

I cannot believe a woman wrote any books of the bible?
I don't know either way if a woman wrote any books in the bible. Still we do have some books in the Old Testament whose main characters are women, such as the books of Esther and Ruth.

How do you know that to be true? I thought the author of Hebrews was unknown.
Well I do not know if it is true, no one does, that is why I put the wink.
There are some good reasons to postulate it was a woman, from archeology and internal evidence of the letters.
I think the writing style presents a certain uniqueness.

I would say Jesus and Job . Jesus should be a no brainer . Jesus is our own true soucres of salivation and was perfect . I also like Job because he showed true faith when he had lost everything with out knowing why . He kept his faith in God and even stood up to his friends when they tried to say sin was way he was being punshed by God .

I believe it was Apollo. Just a feeling though.

(It's ok to list a few if you want, I'll do so since it's so hard to pick.)

One favorite of mine is prophet Samuel, hard to word why I like Samuel but I do.
And also apostle Thomas, this hardcore "give me evidence" guy who finally realizes faith is also the means of acquiring the truth.
And apostle Paul, I feel strong sympathy for him because of the "thorn in his side" he had to endure. In spite of knowing he was forgiven, he wrestled with regret all his life because he persecuted the church of God. It is so horrible that we cannot undo the things we once chose to do.

Might have even posted this once in the past, but I really like hearing from people who left the most impression on them from the Bible and why. Besides Jesus of course.
Samuel is my favorite. i love it when the Lord is calling out to him and he keeps waking up Eli asking "what do you want?"

I have a new picture of Moses, a man more of action and few of words, with an anger issue, like Clint Eastwood.

And of Ezekiel when God instructs him to make the bread baked with human dung... "Aack! Lord, please... can I use cow patties instead, please!?"

And Jael to Sisera... "Huh, order me around, eh? Well sure, I'll fix you a sammich..."

i have a picture like that of Caleb, when the spies came back and reported they saw the nephilim, giants that devoured the land, everyone was terrified! scared to death! i wanna go home! and the first thing Caleb says - lets go get em!

King James Bible Nehemiah 13:21
Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.....

Would you be so kind as to give is the non-Christian interpretation of this Scripture please? As you are a non-Christian (see Bio), you should be able to enlighten us...….

Stick around, who knows? You may become enlightened, and be able to erase that mistakenly placed "non" from your statement of faith...….

I can see how spiritual status: Christian.... Since:2006... on the bio can be confusing.... I quoted God Word please ask Him to defend Himself if you take issue with what He said. Thank you so much!

Maybe I should stick around to "teach" christians like you what Christian Love is.... not feeling it ... thank you so much!

Proverbs 30

he knows he's an idiot, and freely proclaims it - yet here he is, having wisdom, in humility :)
