my Text is Genesis chapter four. God speaking to Cain. God has rejected Cain's offering to the Lord and Cain is upset about it.

Verse six the Lord speaks to Cain:

" 6 So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” NKJV
The NIV says " Sin is crouching at your door". This is the Hebrew translation for lieth found in the KJV.

Sin has a desire we see in Genesis chapter four and it is desiring you and me. God knew this about "sin" and told Cain

SIN is after you! it desires to have you it crouching at your door and is ready to pounce on you, Cain. You must Master it, Rule over it, KJV says you must rule over "him". The sin we see here is given a personification or has a personality.

Sin has attributes:
it lies waiting or crouches for the right time. Sin desires to have each of us. God said we are to Rule it! Sin is a wild beast like no other. it is an awful monster I believe the Lord God has discribes about sin here in Genesis chapter 4.
This monster hides its true identity. I want to talk about the crouching nature of this monster "sin" like a wild beast it hides camouflaged amongst us until it is ready then as Prov 6:15 says

"Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy." The pounce of the wild beast happens and his desire is to kill you. This Monster God warned Cain about but he did not take heed. and Sin took him. This monster is alive and well in the earth today and this monster has not changed. We must stop playing games with the monster of sin and rule over it and master this wild beast or it will kill us. Playtime is over carnality and Christianity are not synonymous. Sin! lies crouching at the door of opportunity do not open the door.

Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:31

That Satan has desired you to sift you like wheat the very nature of sin is to take you and God is the only one who can keep that from happening. Jesus took the keys of sin death hell and the grave, yet many today refuse to master or rule over the sin in their lives.

This monster will kill you. because we have not learned to master it. We live our lives undisciplined and disobediently before God as Cain did. God warned Cain of this wild beast God said Cain SIN is crouching at the door of your heart and it will take you! Don't let Sin do it!.

God told Cain in verse 7 of Genesis chapter four " 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted?

We must do well!

The Lord Jesus is coming back for His bride and she must be ready. We must master sin, and understand that this is an awful beast the most horrific description of this Beast cannot even be created it is a monster like no other.

Hiding and camouflaged as drunkness, homosexuality, murder, adultery, greed, envy, hate, wickedness, lawlessness, perversions, recreational drugs, worldly fame and much more. We are not seeing this monster as it truly is. We are fooled by the deceptiveness of sexual attraction in the marketing scheme well-designed bottles, false narratives, and definitions of Love, and self-gain. Pride! and unwilling to repent give more control over your life to this monster.

The only way to master this Monster and subdue this beast is through the Lord Jesus Christ and the word of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to help to see "SIN" as it truly is and not this monster wants you to see him. If we do not do this we shall be as the Psalmist or Proverbs 7:21-27

The Monster

With her enticing speech she caused him to yield,
With her flattering lips she seduced him.
22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter,
Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,[fn]
23 Till an arrow struck his liver.
As a bird hastens to the snare,
He did not know it would cost his life.

24 Now, therefore, listen to me( word of God), my children;
Pay attention to the words of my mouth: (The Lord has warned)
25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,
Do not stray into her paths;
26 For she has cast down many wounded,
And all who were slain by her were strong men. ( this monster)
27 Her house is the way to hell,[fn] (end result is to kill you and take you to hell)
Descending to the chambers of death. ( forever)

he who has an ear, let him hear what the Lord is saying.

amen.

My Text is Genesis chapter four.

God speaking to Cain. God has rejected Cain's offering to the Lord and Cain is upset about it. We read in verse six:

Lord speaks to Cain:

" six so the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” NKJV

The NIV says “Sin is crouching at your door". Which is the Hebrew translation for lieth found in the KJV.

Sin has a desire I see in Genesis chapter four and it desires you and me. God knew this about "sin" and told Cain.

SIN is after you! it desires to have you, it crouching at your door and is ready to pounce on you Cain. You must Master it. Rule over it, the KJV says you must rule over "him". sin we see here is given a personification or has a personality.

Sin has attributes:

  • it lies waiting or crouches for the right time.
  • Sin desires to have each of us. God said we are to Rule it!
  • Sin is a wild beast like no other. it is an awful monster I believe the Lord has provided descriptions about sin here in Genesis chapter 4.
  • This monster hides its identity.

I want to talk about the crouching nature of this monster "sin". Like a wild beast it hides, camouflaged amongst us until it is ready then as Proverbs 6:15 says

"Therefore shall his calamity(sin) come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy."

The pounce of the wild beast happens and his desire is to kill you. This Monster God warned Cain about but he did not take heed and Sin took him. This monster is alive and well in the earth today and this monster has not changed. We must stop playing games with the monster of sin and rule over it and master this wild beast or it will kill us. Playtime is over carnality and Christianity are not synonymous. Sin! Lies crouching at the door of opportunity; do not open the door.

Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:31

That Satan “has desired you to sift you like wheat”(luke 22:31).

The very nature of sin is to take you and God is the only one who can keep that from happening. Jesus took the keys to the payment of sin death hell and the grave, yet many today refuse to master or rule over the sin in their lives while been given the liberty by Christ to do so.

This monster will kill you, because we have not learned to master it. We live our lives undisciplined and disobediently before God as Cain did. God warned Cain of this wild beast God said to Cain SIN is crouching at the door of your heart and it will take you! Don't let Sin do it!.

God told Cain in verse 7 of Genesis chapter four “7 If you do well, will you not be accepted?

We must do well! We must pray walk the walk and be faithful each day.

The Lord Jesus is coming back for His bride and she must be ready. We must master sin, and understand that this is an awful beast and the most horrific description of this Beast cannot even be created, it is a monster like no other.

Hiding and camouflaged as drunkenness, homosexuality, murder, adultery, greed, envy, hate, wickedness, lawlessness, perversions, recreational drugs, worldly fame and much more. We are not seeing this monster as it truly is.

We are fooled by the deceptiveness of sexual attraction in the marketing scheme well-designed bottles, false narratives and definitions of Love, and self-gain. Pride! Unwilling to repent give more control over your life to this monster.

ROMNS 6:16.
Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey;
whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
22.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your (FRUIT unto Holiness, and the end Everlasting Life.)

GAL. 5:22.
But the Fruit of The Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23.
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no Law.

Well...how do we master it?

Reckon us crucified with the death of our old nature, and alive in Him now. The problem with doing this is desire or temptation. When we give in, we open the door to the monster you identified.

Thank the Lord for longsuffering mercy and grace. Or no one would be saved. And the gift of repentance.

The more we flee..the strength to resist increases.

oh yes, if our heart is joining up with our Master after He 'calls',
then our life becomes new and only desires to 'serve/obey His Will...

He 'breaks' our 'old-man' and destroys our worldly egos, and we only
desire to conform to His Will in order to conform to a greater world
than we could only imagine that awaits for us to inherit...

One of the GREATEST passages EVER is James 1:13-15....
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Our Lord literally tells us how we sin and it's cause.... our own flesh.... followed by the deception of the evil one....
but if we examine the Scripture closely if we disrupt the sin process
at desire.... by bringing every thought captive under the Word... what so ever is lovely, pure, and true think on these things... we can stop sin before it is conceived and carried out.

There are people who argue that the term sin in the Cain account Genesis 4:6-7 is actually sin offering.

That means God himself has provided the correct offering for Cain to do so, an animal. All Cain needed to do was to take that sin offering and offer it to the Lord, and Cain will be accepted, just as Abel was.

Of course, as we know, Cain rejected that option and choose to murder Abel instead.

8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout
the world.

Sin is not a monster going about seeking to destroy us. We are drawn to sin because of our own lusts. All men sin because they choose to sin.

James 1:13 ¶ Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

The same Hebrew word of sin is also used for sin offering.

Genesis 4 we have God providing for Cain the appropriate offering for Cain's sin. God placed a sin offering at the door of Cain's tent. That sin offering was subject to the will of Cain to be sacrificed to cover Cain's sin. Cain choose to reject God's provision to cover his sin. We see this in several patriarchs where God provides a sin offering for them. Abraham when he was going to sacrifice Isaac for one.

For the cause of Christ

Ok, I have another question. I am not sure if I can get the answer because I am not sure the word of God fully tell us.

When God spoke to Cain about sin crouching at the door and it desires to take you. What caused Cain to feel this way? We know that Cain was born into sin because of Adam and Eve fall prior to Cain and Able being born.

What about the devil? Why did sin enter him? Isaiah and Ezekiel tell us about the devil attitude but where did it come from? Did satan Just in the per of the moment decision he wanted to be like the highest? Why would a created being by God desire to go against HIM? I wait for your inputs thank you.

Is the power of sin more powerful than the power of the saving grace of Jesus Christ? I invoke the Word found in John 5:24.

saving grace in Gen 4 was God speaking to Cain and providing him with insight into what was crouching to take him. No the power of sin does not prevent saving grace however, The devil surely Knew God was all-powerful and he could not win so what was it that caused him to do this? God did not make luifer with sin.

My guess as to why the enemy took God on in the first place was pride. He probably believes his own lies.

that may be too. The thing I am trying to understand is, God did not make luifer with sin. Yet sin was found in him. How? The word of God does not give to much on the origin of "Sin" it's self, but the acts of sin done by the devil, and man. God said to Cain Sin is crouching like a wild beast.

The Monster in Proverbs 7 is the foreign race woman (strange woman in some translations) and the foolish young men mixing with them. Honestly this is my favorite chapter of Proverbs I am so happy you posted it, praise Jesus for you. This Proverb is the complete guide about this modern generation of young adults, your worthless sons and slut daughters to a tee race mixing and a whoring with everything and with total impunity. They live lusciously just like the lies her temptations when she seduce the man. But in the end they were just eachother's tickets straight to hellfire.

Praise Jesus for granting King Solomon this wisdom when, as he says at the beginning, he beheld the foolish youths from his palace window.
