Support Catch 22

I just read a post on face book you cant support the LGBTQ if you do your not Christian. The irony being this is a face book post which supports LGBTQ. Now I read an article a fews year back that predicted if you wanna avoid any sort of support for LGBTQ soon your going to have to keep your money under a mattress and grow your own food. Where at that point and its shaping up to be the same for pro choice. You cant buy a soda or bag of chips without supporting it. Obviously the Bible mentions this. If you wanna avoid all support of all human shenanigans your options are not being in this world. Sooo you really dont have an option if you want to share the Word. Its a bit aggravating thought hearing all the time about how the "Awful religious folk" shove there beliefs down throats but we are left with no choice but to support the secular world. Its only going to get worse unfortunately. This post was rather depressing but I had to get it off my chest. God Bless.

I don’t know what to think about LGBTQ at this point...my thought is that they should bear the same burden as the rest of us...abstain until marriage...however! I don’t support same sex marriage...at the same time! I hope that I wouldn’t be judgemental toward others even if I don’t support their stance on things of this nature ... there are more important things to be carried away with....so though I enjoy talking with them (supporters) I’m not sure where they fall according to scripture...so it’s frustrating to me too....

Indeed Catch 22 being a writer and artist myself its concerning the anger towards merely disagrement anyone of fame know they will get countless secular articles written about them for any conformation of biblical marriages. More irony ensues when things as therapy is involved. Claiming how there shaming and emotionally manipulative while they use the same tactics in the articles against the support despite any form of therapy having to be willfully gone too by the participant. "Where fine with your religion except when you talk about, preach or live it anyway." Soo there not fine with it in essence.

For Believers, the Word of God is clear. Romans, Chapter 1 details what God thinks of this issue.

As for "supporting" such things because one purchases a coke or bag of chips or whatever, and the Manufacturer publicly supports/donates to the cause is not the same as the Believer doing so.

IMO, in such instances, "supporting" such lifestyles means to "publicly" do so through speech, vote, or monetary donations to their cause.

Such lifestyles is an abomination in the eyes of God! That being said, we are to hate the sin, not the sinner. A person from the LGBTQ Community is still able to receive forgiveness of their sinful life style and receive eternal life. However, they must abstain from living that lifestyle and live a life pleasing to God. Just as every other sinner must do once they accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives.

There is no confusion concerning this lifestyle choice and the Word of God. I chose the Word of God!

Where are you drawing this info from in regards to buying chips or soda?

We can always be more judicious about what we buy and from where.

In theory there is always a secondary market also...so if let's say you didn't agree with a manufacturer and what they stood for you could buy "indirect" from someone selling a product on Amazon who is reselling.

You can see this with Video games. Essentially the initial purchase went to the manufacturer but every subsequent buy/resell does not. A middle road approach certainly and a grey area. Either way you support it, but if it's a money thing you can get around this.

I've also seen it with sodas. Where someone buys a hard to find soda and resells it.

a good first step is buying products from companies whose mission statement you support (as well as where their money goes).

Look up things that support pro choice and what doesnt. Last year there where ten companies listed for pro life many are for niche items like carpet and furniture not something you by on a daily basis. Look up pro choice its in the hundreds. And it will only grow more. The more abortion clinics cry unfair the more companies will realize they can make tons of money by supporting them. Your phone or computer that your using right the companies more or less support it at this point or will soon. The food you if not now soon

Truthfully, there are enough direct repercussions of our buying decisions (most clothing is made in foreign sweatshops with unsafe working conditions, most coffee companies pay farmers crap for their coffee beans to increase their own profits, food manufacturers creating front "organizations" to help confuse the debate on what is healthy and make their products look healthy and acceptable even when it's processed junk food) that, when I want to start changing the way my buying decisions affect things, I'm going to start at that level. I'm not responsible for how corporations spend their profits though all other things being equal yes I'd rather support a company that supports things I support. But I'd start with the ethics of how the company is run and does business before I worry about the ethics of where they donate a small portion of their profits.


Actually for the most part I go with whatever is most convenient, but if it were going to bother me enough to change that's the order I'd evaluate things in. Internal ethics and practices first, who they donate to second.
