Without Comparing Themselves With Someone Else.
We should never try to compare ourselves to others. That
is not to say we shouldn't hear what others have to say but
whatever others say, we should not immediately believe it
but check it against our own journey. It never hurts to look
at scripture and be sure the truth is spoken. In the end we
are to do what Jesus said and gave example as the final
word on any spiritual evaluation. We should examine our
conscience often and make sure we are on right track. We
will help ourselves greatly when we reassure ourselves with
God. It is good to ask God for mercy in those times where
we fell short of His teachings and at the same time thank Him
for all the blessings He has given us. In this way we we keep
Him near to our hearts and live the life of love as He has given
us example.
