In life we realize that we are here for just a little while. In a blink of an eye, we are alive. God knows our sins; He knows that we will sin. However, He does not hate us. He simply hates the sin.

He looks at us with a smile on His face. He knows our pain; He holds our burdens. These very burdens can cause us to feel as if we are just small specks on the face of the Earth.

Like so much that goes on in our lives, He is the one dusting us off from our battles. Even the ones fighting for their very lives. These people are strong in spirit, and in truth. It is that strength that only He can instill in us all with His love.
Just because of a setback as all of them are always minor. We even feel as if they hold a huge barrier on our very lives. However, do they truly?
We are never given too much than we could ever bare. With this we should always remember that God holds us in His very hands. The very hands that fashioned and molded us into the breath of live in which He gave.

People come; people go just as the rain. It is the ones who are special that holds our heart. It is these very people that God places in our lives to help us. To help us in our journey. We may feel alone, we are never truly alone.

God said it clearly, “I will never leave, nor forsake you.” Therefore, His word always holds true. He will not leave you stranded when the whole world shows you the exit door to its very existence.

To be true to who you are, is to be true to who God made you to be. His very own. That is how Jazmine felt when she got the news about her horse. She would always come out to pet her, to feed her to share the Gospel with her.

They were inseparable, never to be set apart from the rest. Best friends to the very end. Miracles do happen, will one happen for her? To have faith is to hold true to the very one who created it in the first place.
She was her mother’s horse. A hand me down because her mother believed that Jazmine could now hold responsibility. This very responsibility that allowed her to achieve her goals. To start believing in herself without battling the depression in which she held onto for years.

No one knew why she was depressed, chemical imbalances always have a way to mess with someone’s emotions. Even in someone who truly loves The Lord.
With emotional situations comes the issue of having that down time. This is where you feel as if you cannot leave the house, or even get out of bed. This kind of depression can set anyone over the edge, even at the hardest of times.

Many months ago, her parents knocked on her bedroom door to give her breakfast in bed for her birthday. Her dad checks the door knob, it turned slightly and opened. They saw her cradled up in the corner, with tears in her eyes. This is when it got worse than it ever had before.

They thought she would do something drastic because she refused to eat for days. All she done was cry herself to sleep. Sleep can heal all wounds; however, this kind of sleep is dangerous. The kind where you feel like not wanting to wake up.

One day after the episodes of depression, her parents were talking before they went to sleep. “I have an idea,” she told her husband as she was cuddled up to him watching the newest show on television. He smiled and stroked her hair, “what would that be my love?”

She turned to him, looked into his eyes and smiled. “Let’s give her the horse I just bought. She is at that age that a little more responsibility is suitable. She loves horses already, if you remember how she smiled really big when she was six when we gave her that stuffed unicorn.”
He takes a deep breath and sighs, “do you think it will break her out of her shell?” His wife smiled big, “I am very sure of it.”

So, the next day they done just that while their daughter was at school. They put a welcome home banner written in pink over the barn, a big bow on the horse’s saddle with a card which read, “this is yours; she belongs to you now. We love you; we will always be here if you need help with her.”

Today was a hard one for Jazmine, she was sinking back into her shell. Not wanting to speak to anyone. As she got off the bus, she dragged her backpack on the ground with her head lowered. She walked at a slow, but steady pace in which made the world felt like it stopped spinning.
As she approached the barn, she saw the banner and shrugged. She could have cared less what that banner was there for. Starting to walk faster to avoid anyone that could be outside, something made her stop as she reached the steps.

Slowly she turned around to investigate what was going on at the barn. “Why was a banner there, it had never been there before.” She thought to herself. She unlatched the gate, then started to walk towards the barn. She could hear the animals on the inside making noises.
It was like a magnet that drawn her to this one particular stall. She walked right toward where her mother’s horse was. She was laying down with her eyes closed. The saddle that had the bow was on her back. The card attached to the reins.
“What in the world is going on?” Jazmine asked herself. She opened the gate to the horse’s stall to walk in.

As she took the card off the horse’s rein, she opened it slowly. It had a picture of a farm on the front, with the words “Howdy Cowgirl” printed in purple on the front. Her eye brows starts to raise, not knowing which way to take this new discovery in which she just found.
“Why are they doing this?” She thought, not knowing what they wanted. Her parents knew she would react this way. Which was why they were standing off in the distance, waiting for the right moment to walk up to her, and embrace her. “She is all yours Jazmine,” Her mom said as she walked up behind her with a smile on her face.

“Why? What have I done to deserve her? I have been such a burden on you both. I do not deserve to have her.” Jazmine’s eyes began to tear up as she stared at the horse her parents had just given her. “You did everything you could have darling. You are very special to us,” her dad said as he placed his hand on her shoulder. “Special? I am not special. I am broken.” Jazmine replied, with tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Oh baby,” her mother began. “You are not broken; you were created with God’s special hand. That makes you perfect in every single way. No matter what, your father and I will not love you any differently than we do now.” All Jazmine could do was whisper softly, “thank you so much. I love her, thank you.”

They all three hugged, as Jazmine made some suggestions about the horse’s stall. “You can make any modifications as you wish. She belongs to you now; it is up to you how conferrable you make her.” Her dad said as he smiled.

Animals sure have a great way to bring people out of their hardened shells. For weeks she done what she could to ensure her horse was as conferrable as possible. Until she ate the wrong thing. Her horse started to get sick, not wanting to get up and eat. Jazmine started to get very worried as she ran her fingers through the horse’s mane.

“Are you ok girl? What is wrong?” Jazmine would ask the horse as she just laid there. Not moving, not making a sound. “She is very sick Jazmine,” Her dad said as he found her in the horse’s stall. “I will haft to call the vet.” Jazmine ran to her dad, and wrapped her arms around his neck for a bear hug. The kind she always loved, as a young child. “What can we do daddy? She looks horrible. I am so worried about her; I do not know how to fix her.” He patted her head, “I will call the vet, then we will go from there ok?” He said as she shook her head.

The vet came an hour later, he done his examination to determine that the horse is not really sick. However, they are expecting her to have a baby in the next few months. The reason why she has not eaten, or drank anything is because she feels pressure on her stomach. He advised them that to make her conferrable is to be here for her, let her know that she is loved.

Jazmine was all smiles, because now she would have a brand-new horse to raise. She always wanted to breed horses, this was her stepping stone to begin her journey. She thought that she had done something very wrong with her horse to make her feel so bad. However, this is a miracle, the very miracle she could have only wished for in her prayers.
She is now a horse mom, and she loves it.

The months drug by as she helped her horse feed her baby. She felt so happy that nothing else mattered. Before too long she broke out of her shell completely, she was even able to make some friends. She met a new arrival in school who also loved horses. They laughed together, and held hands together at lunch. It was a match made in Heaven, and now with prom around the corner all she could do is say yes when he asked her to go with him.

The silent little girl is no longer silent, but happier than she ever been in her life. God has shone His very favor upon her, and all she could do was to praise Him for all the blessings that He had showered her with.
