I’ve been thinking about the following:
worker bees acknowledge Jesus, but do they have faith in Him? Seems they don’t trust in His completed works, hence why they work themselves, not to bear fruit but to “sustain their salvation.” IMO that means they lack faith in Him.
A cafe blend gospel that does not 100% trust Christ for salvation in false in my book.....It is ALL JESUS or fraudulent .....NO MAN MAY BOAST OF ANYTHING!

When I said yes to a degree I meant yes to a degree they would lack faith in Him. One may have faith in the sense of believing on Jesus. One may have trust for one thing( provision for needs as an example) and yet less trust in another area.

It’s raining. A neighbor who I don’t know nor do I know which apartment he lives in left a car window open. I minded my own business and walked away rather than checking to see if I could roll up the window, lest someone see me and think I was breaking into his car. Did I sin?

I would say no you did not. It would look suspicious to most people and probably this person as well.

I agree

i can have faith in jesus to save my eternal soul, but lack faith in trusting him with my finances, as a new christian

does that mean i am not saved because i lack faith?

No but think of it this way. If one has trouble trusting Jesus in the little things compared to where one will spend eternity, is it any surprise one may struggle with trusting Jesus in death as well?

If faith the size of a mustard seed can remove mountains, exactly how much is needed to save a man.........I submit that saving faith is smaller than a mustard seed and simplistic is nature.....compared to the faith of a child.....think on that....A child has a very limited view and or knowledge concerning anything and everything........

I actually think it is opposite.... if someone hasn't trusted in Jesus for their eternity........ they cannot trust for the little things.

One has to come before the other.

If a Christian has trouble trusting Jesus for the little things, to me it is not surprising if a Christian has trouble trusting in Jesus completely in the bigger things such as salvation. There are a lot of Christians who struggle in the area of assurance of salvation. They have believed on and received Jesus but still have some trouble trusting. This is more where I am coming from.

I understand... but this is foundational to the Gospel...and the Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirit... so if they struggle they need to stop and listen, as well there are so many verses of assurance of our security in Christ in scripture.

My question about if you have trouble trusting in the small then what about the big things was meant to be referring to Christians. Good post.

If you do not trust jesus for salvation

your not going to ask for him to save you, your gonna continue to try to do what you think you need to do to save yourself.

thats not coming to god,

…15For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him.…

Ok, I think I see your point there. If you have come to Jesus there is a element of trust in Him even if it is small. Am I getting this right?

It is spiritual .. an affirmation within us that we know we are born again and eternally secure in Him, I just do not think God leaves us guessing on this ...
