Being Humble Before the Almighty is a vital way to live.

For humbleness before Him will lead to hearing and listening to His voice, obedience to His way rather than rebellion, being ready when He calls rather than missing His call, and everything He wants of us. I thought this a great topic and a perfect time for this considering the current day. So any verses, ideas, experiences, anything relative would be nice to hear!

Matthew 18:3-4, “and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Children are not stuck in their ways, children are ever seeking to learn, children are not hardened at heart...

James 4:6-7, “But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

If we are proud and haughty not only will we not hear His call but He will "opposes the proud" to draw the anger of the Almighty is the most dangerous territory possible.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.
John 15:12-13, " 12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

Luke 23:46-47, " 46 Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last. 47 Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!”

James quoted from this verse:

Proverbs 3:33-35, " 33 The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the dwelling of the righteous. 34 Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor. 35 The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace."

"to the humble he gives favor"

Children are trusting. Yet everything about this world teaches the opposite.
