The Ideal Baptism

Getting Baptised. Then dying immediately after. Sounds ideal to me.
No chance to lead a sinful life. Because while ever we are alive there is temptation to sin.
Is it any wonder Christians feel despair at their own defects and concupiscence.
Yes Christ can save us from ourselves but sometimes ...........

That seems like a defeatist attitude and I do not believe that God would approve.
Not all of us feel despair. My life is filled with joy because of my fellowship with my Savior.

God still loves us even when we are sinful and can forgive us through Jesus. The devil wants us to focus on our sin, but God wants us to know we can be saved through a relationship with Him!

It's alright to be lost at times, we're not perfect in life but God is! We can't worship him perfectly, but God loves it if we just bring our broken selves to him to be healed and not try to pretend to be perfect. Our minds can be confused, but God can guide us through it.

This is one aspect of christian doctrine I don't understand. The assumption in your post is that when we die we will no longer sin. As long as we believe and are baptised, when we die we are suddenly perfected! Hooray! No more dealing with our troubled souls. But assuming there were still imperfections in our souls when we died and we still have free will,what is to stop us sinning again in the afterlife? Curious. The real " hard work" ( not the doing, but the bearing of it, since God does it) is dying daily. Taking up the cross. Now we humans always love shortcuts. Is it not the nitty gritty of life that will help God perfect our souls? The annoying neighbour, the people we just cant stand, the rows with partners, road rage etc. Dying to fear, resentment, hate etc. everyday is harder to bear than a quick physical death, and sudden perfection. Which I dont think will happen......it's laziness that wants this.

It's a works mindset that wants to do the Work and be justified by their efforts... They declare that people who depend on the gift of Gods Atonement for their eternal justification are lazy..

As for the desire to die after we have come to the knowledge of salvation and have accepted the wonderful gift of God,, It is understandable that we wish to be with Christ ASAP and we who love Gods perfection yearn to be perfected.. That will happen in an instant in a twinkling of an eye at the resurrection..

But Gods will be done.. If you are a true Christian you probably know that the field is large and the workers are few, So God will probably want you to live in this world for a time to share the Gospel with others who are destined to be Brothers and Sisters in Christ in eternity..

Putting on the incorruptible and imperishable. Taking up glorified bodies as is Christ's, pure and undefiled by sin, being clothed in His righteous robes.

Water baptism is an outward sign. A public demonstration, as adults, that we repent the past and that our sins are washed away. It's baptism of the Holy Spirit that circumcizes our hearts and matters the most. The Holy Spirit sets us apart and the gift is free but it wasn't cheap. Jesus paid a hefty price in full. When we say Jesus is Lord it means; God, boss, ruler, owner and King! Only the Holy Sprit allows us to mean all of that. If we understand and believe all of that nothing and nobody, not even death can take us away from him.
