(So sad that this is the madness we face. Pray that this father wins this court battle)

Texan father Jeff Younger will face a final court hearing this month that will determine if his 7-year-old son will stay a boy or change to a girl while his ex-wife petitions the court to allow the transition.

“James presents as a boy with me and he presents as a girl with his mom,” Younger said, according to CBN. “He gets dressed as a boy at his mother’s home and he comes out to me as a boy. That means that he’s comfortable as a boy at his mother’s home.”

Younger has said that his son only shows interest in being a girl around his mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas. While with Younger, James sword fights with his twin brother Jude and loves to wrestle.

According to LifeSite News, Younger has also been accused of child abuse for not treating James like a girl. So far, the court has not allowed him to treat James as a boy. He currently splits custody with his ex-wife for both James and Jude.

The court will rule that gender transition is an individual choice that can not be made on behalf of a minor by one or both parents or legal guardians, nor by the state; therefore since the child is not of age of majority the court will deny the petition of the boy's mother.

That sounds correct. A parent should not be making a decision like that on a minors behalf.

This should be considered some type of abuse on the mother's part. Can't even believe something like this even makes it to court. You'd think sex change for a 7 year old would be a flat out no...no court proceedings involved.... Well except maybe mandated counseling for the mother. Why would she be advocating something like this for a 7 year old?

based on the article:
The next court date will be October 15-17 in Dallas.
Prayers for the father during this trying time.

It also mentions he has a TWIN BROTHER.......
I applaud the father in this story for having the backbone to stand up to this woman!!!!!

In my kids school there is a family who has a younger child 3 or 4 yr old boy.
He comes to events dressed up in big sisters old clothes like it's no big deal and the moms are all giggly about it AND say they encourage it if it's what the boy wants to wear. One came in one day looking like a clown with lipstick and blush they had done themselves and the mom thought it was the cutest thing. Mom won't cut his hair because he wants it long, which makes him look female when he dresses that way....... Dad was at an event last year and I overheard another dad ask him why he would let his son run around like that. The dad hung his head shamefully and replied "She won't let me stop him, she lets him do it"

This really is sad...sounds like it is the mom's encouraging this in these situation. The children are too young to be exposed to that kind of stuff...

I had a cousin who liked to play barbies with me when we were kids. No one ever told him, hey you might be a girl so just dress up like one...So he grew up to be a man with a wife and kids...Probably wouldn't have happened if his parents told him that he was really a girl and it was ok to dress up like one...Children are vulnerable, so I think that what these mom's are doing is abuse.

This is the front runner threat to religious freedom in the United States. The mindset made public in the failed Equality Act that completely passed the House but wasn't allowed a vote in the Senate and now this case below is threatening to make illegal religious beliefs.

https://onenewsnow.com/legal-courts...ld-hinge-on-who-is-a-he#.XZ9GSV-xDRE.facebook

More warnings are pouring from the nation’s capital about a coming U.S. Supreme Court ruling that could redefine the legal definition of “sex” in federal law.

Religious liberty law firms such as First Liberty Institute, and think tanks such as The Heritage Foundation, are also watching the case closely due to a possible landmark ruling that would upend current legal views about men and women.

If all of this passes then to say homosexuality is a sin, or to not hire a transman into your church organization, or to not allow transgenders to play on opposite genders sports teams could very well become harrassment and hold fines or even jail time. We must pray for these judges and pray that they will hear the outcry of middle America or religious America.

It is child abuse. And if the state enforces it then it becomes the government telling parents what is best for their child. You are basically reinforcing a false reality that overtime with that kind of abuse it will turn into a disorder. But yet they want us to reinforce it? I pray God intervenes because if not we best be prepared to fight it.

Agree that it should. A misguided parent could easily sway a child's opinions and will with their own. Possibly not "all" children but the law is on a parents side to enforce their will if a child were to run away for example. So they have some legal right to enforce their own guardianship. However there are also laws to protect minors...ideally this is one of them.

the child hasn't even gone through puberty. At minimum there should be some sort of limitation until at least that process has occurred completely.

I am also somewhat curious if genetic modification should be done if a child believes themselves to be a superhero or some type of animal.

It's just so odd. Role-play occurs with young children. This is not at all uncommon.

"Affirming" as is being described in this article is troubling.

Yes the mom wanted a daughter. So she has been dressing him up as a girl, calling him a her and wants to name him Luna.

They are divorced so when the dad has the son he does the exact opposite. He says he is all boy when he is with him.

It is common for children to exhibit slightly different personality traits in split homes. You can ask a lot of divorcees how a child is different when they get back from "Dad's house" or "Mom's house".

I am curious if he is doing this to please his mother and she is encouraging him in something of a warped fashion...perhaps unintentionally. Hopefully she has considered his desire to please and that aspect of a mother's warmth are so desirous in someone wanting to be loved that it is possible to "want to be as such".

Even the analogy of gathering chicks under wing is used in scripture. As well as another scripture referring to disciples love (pretty sure it was paul) in a similar context. We can share attributes with females without trying to "be" them.

I would hope that this discussion will one day be talked about in a loving matter sort of meeting these types of ideas.

there is nothing to discuss. gender is not fluid. boys are boys and girls are girls based on biology, not how kids " act"

the whole idea of having a discussion about this trans-nonsense is how it keeps going and growing. it does not need to be discussed , it needs to be stopped. it is hurting children.

This is why if you are a Christian or even just a decent person it is inexcusable and insane to vote for any democrat. EVERYBODY knows the GOP has plenty of problems and issues. But they are microscopic compared to the blatant evil that is not even hidden anymore of the democrats.

It looks like the Texas Gov. is going to try and stop this mammoth evil. I pray he is successful, and also wish sanity would prevail and this mother would be arrested for child abuse.

That is how it is stopped. By Christians, Conservatives, and people of truth stand up to discuss the topic. Silence hasn't worked. And in a land of law and rights you have to win the minds or else you will be fighting against constant pro LGBT legislation, judges, jurors, etc.

Having it stopped is great but how? By force? Do we by force drag the judge out of the courtroom? Drag the LGBT to forced re education camps? Surely not. We have to win the minds which takes great discussions. Bold defenders of truth regardless of the liberal backlash.
