Leave The Light On

Dont let my eyes awake Lord in a day where your not there
To feel your love inside, to find your steps on quiet seas
It's a soul without a Shepherd, a mountain just to steep to climb
And one day without your presence, is a thousand lost to time

So please just leave the light on Lord, don't ever let me fall away,
Always keep in your safety, in your strength and in your love,
And in your windom let me stay.
Be my shield and armour steadfast, my chariot and sword
Dont let me fall away Lord, as you search my heart, for yours.

Please keep my feet upon your path as I walk toward your Throne
And I humbly pray before you, hold me in on narrow ways
Don't let me stray to far behind, or get to far until
I can't find rest, when winds do blow, from shelter of your will

And keep your light within me Lord, your truth, dont let it fade
Dont ever have me search in foreign land or false beyonds
Lead my heart to trace the the oil of gladness on your door
And let me once just touch the hem and rest there evermore
