While He Talked With Us On The Road,

Were not our hearts burning withing us, what a beautiful
way to describe the love that apostles had for Jesus. It
is almost necessary to speak in metaphors when trying
to describe the love of God. Those who don't know Him
think you're crazy and those that do don't always know
how to take you. It is one of those things where if His
love has not been experienced by someone, they are not
able to understand it. So as they were walking along the
road to Emmaus, Jesus caught up to them after He had
risen. He taught them even more because they were not
able to understand His death and resurrection. They did
not even recognize Him at first. So it is not hard to feel
what they were feeling at that time if we've ever felt that
glow that the love of Christ gives us.
