Are Luke 21 and Matthew 24 identical?

Many have noted the differences between Matthew 24 and Luke 21, including the location the information was given, to which audience and most importantly, these verses in Luke 21:

I read that and compare that to the Matthew 24 dialogue and nothing there about standing before the Son of Man or escaping.

I underlined the part that differs from the Matthew 24 Olivet discourse as the thelogians call it. "But BEFORE all these" is not in the Matthew 24 discourse.

The three separate accounts of the Olivet Discourse (Matthew, Mark, Luke) are just exactly that - three accounts of the same discourse.

They are similar in some respects and quite different in others. One needs to harmonize all three accounts of the Olivet Discourse (which I did some time ago) to determine the proper chronological sequence of events.

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have been alert and would not have let his house be broken into. They seem quite similar to me.
