Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Eph. 1:3

If you don't feel blessed this week, take a moment and make a long list of what you have now and are grateful for. I will do the same. If you post that list here, I will not get upset. :)

I feel the same way. This is why I go to Mass on Sunday. To re-charge my battery for the week...

This verse came to mind, I wanted to share it. (Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again Rejoice!)

I almost forgot this verse. It is on my top ten list. My absolute favorite.
I love the way Paul interacts with the Philippians. He calls them his brothers and sisters; his dear friends; his joy and his crown. I am compelled now to read this amazing book again. I always feel encouraged by it.

Yes. He got to spend time with me. And then he got to spend time with his mom and all of her family. I no longer enjoy the Norman Rockwell Thanksgivings I had growing up as a kid. But I am grateful at least my son has that opportunity.

Thanks for asking. How was yours?

@DesertWanderer I'm glad for your time spent together-- and that you have him nearby. 🙂 Did you cook or get takeout?

We had a good one. Our gathering was the night before. I caught a cold the day of Thanksgiving. But it wasn't awful.

I took my son and an old friend (86 to be exact) out to Denny's. They both had a great time. I have my son again this weekend. The weather is awful, so we're just hanging out. Sorry you caught a cold on Thanksgiving.

Awesome! That was nice. 😊 Did you have a good time too? I've always been more comfortable around adults and people older than myself. To be honest, my best friend (outside of family members) is in her 70s. She has me to her home most weeks to study the Bible, pray, and chat. We laugh and have good times. ❤️ I think it's definitely a good thing for young people to have relationships with senior adults.

I lived in Albuquerque for 6 months a few years ago. I missed the green grass and trees too much (not to mention my family!) to stay longer. And thanks. I'm just grateful it wasn't a more serious illness!

Thank you, DW. Sometimes some people, and I too, have to leave church a little earlier and miss the blessing part. But i really like to stay and be blessed by the pastor, or sing the closing hymn as 'The Lord bless you and keep you'...=).

Yest. visited a sick, well, recovering friend. Have missed to see her last week, and i was not very enthusiastic yest as i had a ton of backlogs at home. But i knew i had to. She was in fact a bit cranky, and i thought for being tied down at home, not even going out much for the space just outside their house was uneven, and she had this walker wc wouldnt be helpful.

I was just listening to teaching on God's timing yest and getting impatient for 'unanswered' prayers. And here was a friend who was almost helpless, cannot take a walk far or have a ride out alone.

@EliBeth, i appreciate older friends too. How i wish the children would have their 'old' friends also!
