No power after the corrupted flesh (birth) .

I am not denying rebirth. But am denying that God is a man as us. Some according to the one time demonstration did know Christ after the flesh .But it was after they had been born again from above . We do not know God any more after the corrupted flesh as if he was a man to begin with. (yet now henceforth know we him no more).

No power after the flesh. Jesus of his own flesh says it profits for nothing. It is the work of the unseen Spirit that does profit.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
You make no sense.. they knew Christ only after being born again? Christ was resurrected in Heaven when the outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place. They received the Holy Spirit in Acts. Christ was already seated at the right hand. Not sure I understand any of your interpretation?

Do you know what it means to be born again?

So after a person receives the Holy Spirit that person becomes a new creature. Your Spiritual eyes are opened.

Here we see that we do not see people in the flesh any longer. We see spirit. We once saw people as just people and now we see more than just the person we can see their spirit. We know no man after the flesh.

Christ is God in the flesh. So they no longer see Christ as a human but rather God! Because the Holy Spirit revealed it to them. God lived in Christ and did all the works. So the human they once saw and walked with is no longer! They can only see God. To anyone else they still see a carnal man. We as new creatures DO NOT. We see God in Jesus Christ working all things for His purpose reconciling the world to Himself.

Being born again is when a person receives the Holy Spirit. It is not done during the sinners prayer as many have been mislead to believe. Sinners prayer is not found in the bible. Scripture does not teach the sinners prayer.

We still live in the flesh and have the Holy Spirit living inside of us as born again believers. The flesh is always working against the Spirit. If one chooses to follow the flesh it can lead you to death as the scriptures teach. When one falls away they deny the gift they received and follow their own devices of the flesh. Everyone has a choice. But the person with the Holy Spirit is at greater condemnation because he knows the truth he received and turned from. God will judge His people. All will face judgement. No one is exempt.

Thanks for the reply... Yes only after being born from above. The first experience of our new love. The love of God not seen. . the eternal one. Observing his flesh did not add to the unseen work .God is not a man as us.

Do you know what it means to be born again?
I would say or think I understand what it means to be born again. . . freely given a new spirit and heart that could never die, through the incorruptible spiritual seed of Christ. Not according to his flesh which was signified as sinful . But having no sin in his person . He knew no sin

Yes. Power of the gospel according to the unseen spirit of holiness. No such thing as holiness of the flesh (the temporal) . In regard to the flesh of the Son of man Jesus. We are informed by him it does not profit as power unto salvation as the things seen. It did profit as a demonstration revealing the unseen work of the father and Son working together in perfect peace and harmony. (the gospel)

Romans 1:3-5 King James Version (KJV) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

No power of holiness from flesh what the eyes see, . The unseen work of the father provided the power of giving life to the flesh so that they could together finish the work of salvation .

Amen... I would agree except for the idea of after a person receive Holy Spirit . I would say as we receive him revealing to us . . working in us to both will and do his good pleasure as yoked with him . Without him as our breath of new life . . we can do absolutely nothing that could please Him .

Hey thank you for your reply. Hope youre having a blessed day. Your posts caught my attention as did Seedharvest's.

So just to follow up with your response, youre saying they didnt know Christ until after they were born again? I would disagree with this statement.

Whether we apply this to the Apostles who walked with Christ, or we apply it to us as sinners who were not alive during those times. The Apostles knew Christ they walked with Him and knew He was the Son of God. This was revealed to them by the Spirit. They were yet not born again.

We as sinners know of Christ, have been preached the Gospel at one point or another and have been told who He is. And it is according to this Gospel whether or not the person will believe. Believing is not the same as being born again. They are two seperate events.

The Apostles believed He was the Son of God. Jesus asked them who they believed He was. They declared Him the Son of God. Yet they were not born again. For most of us as sinners believe He is the Son of God. And yet not all are born again. Let me repeat NOT ALL WHO BELIEVE ARE BORN AGAIN.

It is until the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we are born again. John 3 shows Jesus teaching what is born of Spirit is Spirit. This transformation of being born again is at the event of receiving the Holy Spirit. John 14 Jesus teaches us about the Holy Spirit and who will receive it. Romans 8 Paul teaches what living in the Spirit is.

Process starts with believing in Jesus. Step one: leave everything and follow Christ. Forget everything, deny yourself, pick up your cross, follow Christ. The disciples did this yet NOT BEING BORN AGAIN. Being promised the gift of the Holy Spirit. God is faithful and true, He gave them the Holy Spirit. He gives us the Holy Spirit to those who love and obey Him.

It is not an idea. It is scripture. Those who are NOT BORN AGAIN will not enter the Kingdom of God. So you see it is VITAL to receive the Holy Spirit.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
