Hello. I was a member years ago but never really did anything with this app. I am basically new here. I am seeking like minded people to fellowship with and become friends. I am really gravitating to the lord in ways I have never before. But many aspects of my life are falling apart. I feel so depressed all the time. I feel lonely. I am not married and have nobody to live my life with. God spoke in Genesis that man needs a mate. My children have all almost left the nest. Only one 14 year old left and it seems that I will have to start my life all over once he is gone. Is this my purpose? At the end of your life be miserable but everything seem so overwhelming to change?? I keep trying to better myself. Recently have been watching a man named Ray Comfort. I have realized that I and millions of others have been misled by Christianity and Jesus’ salvation. You can’t just believe that Jesus died on the cross, you have to East from the bread he offers. I never understood that. Aeschylus morning when I wake up I read from my bible now. Because I wake up in sin. I believer that if I don’t start my day off to be good and holy, then I deserve all of the bad things that happen to me. When I try to be as righteous as I can. I need to not break the Ten Commandments. Why am I so lonely?

I assume you meant ""eat from the bread He offers""

This is jargon speak.. religious Jargon.. What do you actually mean in plain speech? Please give us a few examples of this bread you speak of.. Please tell us how you believe a person comes to have eternity with God in His perfect eternal existence??

Hi Framer,

I am happy to see you here. And God allows us to follow our own path. In order for us to come to our senses.

And as a result of you and me breaking the commandments and not following the law of life. We automatically reap the reward of our actions.

But there is hope. In Jesus Christ. He has made a way of escape. And knowing Him will make all the difference.

It will take time but nothing is impossible with God. There is alot you will need to unlearn and knowledge you will have to learn. There is nothing to fear. It starts with trusting God again with your life. And becoming dependent upon Him again.

Be of good courage.

  1. When I hear someone say “works” I think they are referring to good deeds or kindness. I never said good deeds nor kindness.
You think your actions define your salvation, not grace. That's works.
No one is deserving of salvation, ever.
For instance you believe if you don't start your day in a specific manner that it leads to bad things throughout. That's works. Grace teaches the opposite.
Marriage is also never a promise. Genesis isn't a promise of marriage, only that it's not good for people to be alone. This does not require marriage or romance.
This is not uncommon, that people revolve around their children, yet never plan or take steps towards living a life that doesn't revolve around them, as the children get closer to being on their own.
This is how life is meant to be. You raise your children and they move on, and you move on. Not having started a life outside of your children isn't a fault with life, it's a lack of planning.

To live by the 10 commandments, to fear God, to read the Bible everyday, to practice willpower to resist bad thoughts. TO BE THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF YOU. Hey pal romans 6:23 says to hate is to kill someone in your heart. Your reply ,to my obvious emotional post, is dripping in hate and self righteousness. I am just saying that when judgement day comes we will be judged by the 10 commandments. And you can profess how much you love Jesus and how you believe in him yet go to play your Fortnite. We break almost all of the 10 commandments everyday multiple times just on how society is set up. Are nick nacks or pictures that you place around your house of a beautiful things that YOU like not considered idolatry? So I hope I was able to explain what I meant. I am not a writer. I am a carpenter!

I cannot disagree with your observation. Perhaps you are right. But this whole debate about works I have to disagree. I don’t start my day out by getting up and reading my Bible and praying to God because I am trying to perform something or do a ritual. I am professing that my soul and my spirt is better when I do this, as I have noticed, since I have been doing it. I am stating that I wake up in sin. And like a shower to rid you of filth I shower my soul first thing in the word. So praying and reading the Bible is no considered works??

And one other thing. Grace is from God but not everyone is deserving of grace or not everyone will accept it. As it says in the Bible God knows your heart.

No.. You have totally misjudged me.. Absolutly misjudged me.. I believe in the importance of establishing what people actually mean when they use religous jargon because it is important for clear communication that before i give a considered responce to a post i first know exactly what they other person is thinking.. There are many people in this world who will use the same jargon and they come from different churches denominations sects and their definiton of those words are slightly and sometimes significantly different.. I have been taking part in online Christian forums since 2002.. Long enough to know that even individuels within the same denomination can have wildly different interpretations of the same word..

Even in the above quote by you, there is some jargon that different people from different denominations will have different definitions of .. You said ..
""to live by the 10 commandments""
Two different people will have two definitions of how one Lives by the 10 commandments.. One will describe it as trying ones best to follow the guidance of the 10 commandments and another will describe it as doing the 10 commandments without failure at all times.. So two different people can use the same expression and have totally different ideas of what that statement is actually saying in plain, Non Jargon speech..

Once again my status when posting that reply to you was in an ernest attempt to establish understanding of what you actually think.. No emotions of hate or pride where present.. Of course i know that God knows my attitude at all times and so i am at peace with this situation..

"Lose of Spiritual Equilibrium could be considered the most prominent cause of
restlessness and discord in many lives. And, the soundness of ones Spiritual stability
and discipline shall be considered to be essential in the hope of peace and well being
within ones own self. Intellectual and materialistic things may bring pleasure, but
a Spiritual joy is priceless."

Hi neighbor and friend, you're not allowed to be lonely while on CC. Join in on some of the other threads, no one is expected to be perfect. I got involved at a time of loss in my life and it's really been a blessing.

Wow. I am sorry. A loss is horrible. But I have noticed that it is in that time that we do the most growing spiritually. So out of something horrible something great is born. Still sucks. I am glad you received help and hope that my fellowship here will increase my knowledge of the lord.

By getting involved in the forums you gain a sense of community. Just beware of the political threads, some of us blow it there, lol.
