I had to scroll way down on the news page to find an article on this. They are inquiring why tourists were allowed there when a volcanic alert had been issued weeks earlier. I feel for the families hoping their loved ones will still turn up. Thx for the info re this.

Six deaths were confirmed after Monday's eruption of the White Island volcano. Five people died at the time of the blast or soon after, while a sixth person died Tuesday night at an Auckland hospital. Another eight people are believed to have died, with their bodies remaining on the ash-covered island for now.

Some horrific deaths and I suspect the ones who survive face a future of disability and high care needs.

his body, and the woman with burns to 20% of her body. They were newly weds.

Visiting an active volcano that had recent warnings of activity... not on my bucket list.
Then again, I do not really have a bucket list.

That eruption was one of the most horrifying in history and similar to the New York towers in unimaginable human suffering. Why you would consider "dark humor," sounds psychopathic. If you do not apologise and explain reasonably, I am going to ask the administrator to close your account, and then ask God to excommunicate you from the forum.

I accept your apology, and also apologise. I didn't read the context, and it is a common human weakness to mix social fellowship with a dire subject. It was also projection because I do the same thing and it is very frustrating to have discipline continually while trying to cope with tragedy and mental denial is how most people cope. I can tell you are a worthy man of God. This forum is removed from outside reality and computer phones bring together many people who are in different states of mind and the original topics often go astray. Forgive me for going off like that in angry judgment. We had similar apocalyptic type events here in Alaska this summer with frightening forest fires during which I almost lost my life, and I was convinced that the apocalypse might be drawing near,
But, the Lord chastened me seriously, but not harsh judgment even as I felt I might not survive, hearing in a daze through a man who looked like Jesus, and I knew it was Jesus,

"It's ok to say the apocalypse is near, but to say it is here is very dangerous."

I'm not even sure what the apocalypse is, if it's in the spiritual realm or earth events, but I believe that these kinds of events are warnings, and have been happening for decades. Such as World War II in the 1940's, the 1964 9.3 + quake here, the quakes and large tsunamis in Japan, Hurricane Katrina, and many other things, volcanic eruptions that have been happening for decades and centuries.

So, in keeping with the Lord's warning, only God can say what apocalyptic events are, or how they may be associated with His return. So I will not and can not say any "apocalypse" is here, or what it looks like in reality.

Only that the Lord's return has always been near according to the Bible, and is always a heart-beat away from each person, as it was this summer for me.
I'm getting late in life, and near my own end of my physical life, unless the Lord has other plans. And have been getting personal signs to stay on track, and experiences of both positive and negative spiritual encounters, and it can be a challenge to stay focused at times.

But, Jesus said, "My strength is completed/perfected in/through human weakness/frailty" (paraphrase from memory).

What I was trying to say was I am sorry for judging your words for what I have done myself.

And while these phones are amazing, I was not able to correct in time the quote I made which I believed was Jesus.

It's been a while as and I was in a distressed state of mind, but I believe the words of the Lord which were for me at the time were more along the lines of,

"You can say the apocalypse is near, but it is very dangerous to say it is here."

Only God knows what an apocalypse is, or if it is near. The events in Revelation are very symbolic, and could be referring to both earthly and events in the spiritual realm.

And it's ok to spice up Christian fellowship, Jesus said to fellowship with "salt" , to be real, not pretense or boring dialogue.

But, we as Christians need to have discipline to honor sacred human suffering, and separate normal lighter church fellowship.
He means business. Recently when I was acting a bit crazy in my dialogue, the same day, I received a warning briefly an image my mind, of a warrior saint/angel on a horse drawing his sword and holding it over me as he passed by.
