Seek What Is Above,
If we really want to grow in the Spirit of God, we need
to concentrate on Christ. When we acknowledge that
the Holy Spirit is within us, as Paul says, we become
a new creation. So when we become a new creation,
we can't go back. Our hearts become more and more
reliant on what God is doing for us. We become less
and less interested in earthly, less in the flesh and more
attached to the Spirit. Jesus told His followers, "God is
spirit and His worshippers should worship in the spirit
and the truth". God becomes a very personal necessity
in our lives as at some point we have this urgent desire
to speak and surrender completely to Him. For many
years, my life existed without any acknowledgement
of Jesus. Naturally I knew He was there and there were
churches but I didn't focus on anything Godly beyond
that. Half way through life God snatched me away from
this world, now I could never go back. Perhaps I was
more wretched than the next guy on the street but I am
so grateful to God and can testify that truly, life beyond
the flesh is much more rewarding that anything else
imaginable.
