Ringing of the call I’m hesitant to take
silent flow between my lips
my prayer is the voice that says hello

A rush of blood upon a memory retrieved
silent flow between my lips
my prayer is the conquest of my youth

An angry inner dialogue that was never had
silent flow between my lips
my prayer is acceptance of opposing views

An easy deception or the embarrassing truth
silent flow between my lips
my prayer endures the shivers of discomfort

Chiseling at the structure in the kitchen sink
silent flow between my lips
my prayer blows all my tiredness away

The warmth of bed at the winter dawn
silent flow between my lips
my prayer is my footsteps on the cold floor

A challenging affront to my faith and way of life
silent flow between my lips
my prayer is the smile that firmly holds the ground

Incense, chants, and candles all around
silent flow between my lips
my prayer is the lowering of my head
and the reminder of ideal to be reached
my prayer is on both sides of closed eyelids
hovering in space, pulsating back and forth
turning every thought into quietness and ease

Merry Christmas friends!

Excellent cadence here. This is a nice mix of anguish and resolution. The summation at the end tells of what your prayers really mean to you. Well done.
