Hi, I'm Denise. I'm new. 56 years old. No children. Divorced 16 years. Work for Crisis Center 211. Get to pray with people sometimes. LOVE those calls. I work a lot of hours from home. Grateful I don't have to go into the office. Still have my mom and dad. What a blessing. I have 3 dogs.. 2 are clowns. I have one blue and gold macaw. I'm in good health. Anything you want to know.. just ask. I'm an open book. Happy to listen to problems if you need to talk.

We also have three dogs. The latest addition is a St. Bernard puppy.....at 130 pounds he doesn't let the furniture in the house get in his way!

Long ago I had a couple of conures (they belong to the macaw family), then two female guinea pigs and currently I have a couple of cats (both castrated). Welcome to Christian Chat .

That's awesome! Conures are much better talkers than my blue and gold macaw. My macaw can say "hello" when the phone rings and can say "out!" when the dogs bark because she doesn't like the barking. And she screams "HOT!" while I'm cooking because she wants me to share whatever I'm cooking with her haha!
I love cats too. I had a Siamese for 18 years. I don't keep cats now because of the macaw. Young cats would not be able to resist trying to get at the bird.

P.S. Somebody gave my bird to me when she was still a baby bird. They named her Moses and later I discovered he was actually a she when she started laying eggs!!

Thank you Isny. That's exactly why I'm here.. to make friends. I work so many hours - all from home but still .. ton of hours. I can't go to church. My boss doesn't want somebody to call and hear background noise of church. Anyway not to boohoo.. I'm really grateful for my job. Thank you for the welcome!
I had a St. Bernard when I was a teenager. He kept running away to be with a female St. Bernard (in heat) about 5 miles away. He had to cross a busy highway to get to her and kept getting thrown in the pokey which we had to go post his bail over and over haha We finally gave him to the lady with the female St. Bernard and I think he had a happier life.
Now I have a motley crew of dogs... Terrier mix, boxer/mastiff mix from rescue and a pug

People call about literally everything. I get calls about help with utilities, homelessness, food as well as depression, problems with children, problems with parents, problems with bullies at school, alcohol, drug addiction, grieving and loss, help getting dentures, ex husbands not paying child support, mental illness resource information, tenants with bug problems and the landlord won't do anything.. just really anything and everything. We help with passing out Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas dinners and toys for kids under 12 years of age.
Love my job.

AMEN! I tried to post a pic of my dogs but it says the file is too big. You'll have to imagine the cutest pug in the whole world and the most handsome boxer/mastiff mix and a mixed terrier that is as smart as he is scruffy looking haha

Thank you TabinRivCA. I cried and begged and pleaded for a husband for years but now it's been so many years I don't know if I could put up with one haha. Does that sound bad? haha My biggest desire is to be used by Him and stay in His will to follow His plan and be patient waiting with a good attitude for whatever His plan might be.
