Hey, I'm 17 and I am from the U.S. I'd like to be friends with people who love Christ so I can grow in Christ. I'm not that good of a christian so pls don't judge and criticize me. I like no I love soccer. I do listen to secular music and I love Queen. But hey, I also love Jesus more than anything. I love cooking, watching movies, reading, writing poems and stories, traveling even though I haven't really been anywhere, and I also love spreading positivity even though I'm negative to myself, and I love hearing the word of God. I'm just a simple girl who stays at home 24/7 but that will definitely change probably in another 2 years.

Hi emilia,

I'm no teen, but i'd like to have friends of any age. As you are a young Christian, just let the Lord teach you, as you remain teachable. I hope you meet other young people here, but it's ok if ur friends are older, as ive learned much from older people, you know=).

I also like to read and write when I can, wc isn't that much now esp as I like to rest the eyes late in the day, when I used to read etc. Unlike my children who like to read from their gadgets in bed, I cannot do that! I love hearing the Word of God too, so I sometimes read it out loud=). When my husband listens to teachings online, I love to listen as well.

See you around more!

Hey, I happened to be 17 as well 😊 I totally understand where you're coming from. Wanting to be around more Christian's near my age has been difficult for me. I live in England and theres no much young people who share the same values around me. So it's been hard.

The only place you can find solid Chtistian friends...is online for my case.

Anyway, it's nice to meet someone your age. Hope you like it here 😊

Hello. I’m 17, too. It’s difficult finding acquaintances for me as well in this region of Michigan. Notify me and the other teens if you decide to create a chat room.

Its sad how the society has regressed in England. Especially on the dating scene. The whole system is broken. Family unit is being destroyed completely. I wont give any more specifics on a forum like this. Its just sad.

Yeah, talk about it. Our country has never been the same. Everyone is all about themselves, the youth are hopelessly lost....getting into unspeakable things. I wish I can do something to help.

It's only the Lord that can ignite the fire to awaken the Christians to let their light shine in their beloved Great Britian.

But you are absolutely right.

I'm a 17 yr old female (18 in a couple months)...I am actually looking for a female penpal/internet friend who shares the same beliefs as me. If you are still looking for a Christian teen to befriend let me know :)

Here are some fun facts about me:
1) I am adopted.
2) I enjoy longboarding, eating, and youtube.
3) I live in California.
4) Not super sporty but I also enjoy cooking
5) I recently cut some bangs on myself with school scissors...hahaha

I’m looking for some advice from teens. My daughter is turning 18 very soon. Last year of HS. For the past five years she’s having a hard time finding a genuine friend. Prior to HS she had a bff but literally out of the blue with no explanation she stopped being friends with my daughter. My daughter put all her eggs in one basket at that time with this bff and has trouble bouncing back from that. She met twin sisters in school but it didn’t materialize because my daughter ended it after learning these girls were gay. Another girl she use to talk to has since graduated a year before and moved away to college and she was a foreign exchange student. My daughter doesn’t open up much to me about this topic but she did say that it’s hard to find normal people out there and people that share her christian values. My daughter has a part time job and has acquaintances at work but she doesn’t socialize with them outside of work. My question for teens is, do you have any advice or recommendations on how my daughter can meet good Christian friends ? I’ve made some suggestions like joining the church’s youth club but she was not receptive to that possibly because I guess if it didn’t pan out she would see these people every Sunday ? No sure though.

Hi john,

Allow me to say that one helpful tip we can do as parents is to pray for our teens. Sometimes we can have them meet others in various situations or events, but most of the time it is their life-- and would be esp as she has started to work. Let her find friends of different ages too, as that is quite healthy and could lead her to others she may learn to appreciate. There are always risks, but to find friends, she has to be one also, yes=)?

Welcome to cc too!

Hi
Thanks for your reply. We pray for her every day and sometimes I pray in anguish for her to the point of tears. She’s turning 18 in days and her life is hers (theologically God’s) and there has only been encouragement to her with ZERO restrictions on her meeting people or going places. She’s an introvert by nature. She’s been working almost one year now. My constant theme with her is to encourage her to smile more and be more talkative. The advice about different ages could be an issue to many parents and especially to my daughter herself. Honestly, depending on the age difference, I can hear my daughter saying “that’s weird”. All I want is for her to be happy. We are prayerful and hopeful. She has high moral standards and sometimes she was spot on with not pursuing a friendship in the past. I told her she can’t expect perfection in people because we are not perfect but the things she pointed out were things that Christians should not compromise with. Be not unequally yoked with non believers (my quote, not hers). Thanks for sharing. God bless.

This would be better of with you making your own thread. A ) you don't encroach upon others thread and topics, and B ) people who may have answers may actually see your thread, rather than this one most people won't look at.
Bear in mind you're asking a group of people who came online to find friends, where to find friends. They came here to find them.
