Hmm. Now this is scary.

Could you tell me more specifically what this could mean? I've never had problems with nightmares or anything like that. I do have problems with depression and things, you think it could be because of that past? How to get rid of it?
If u go to a fortune teller, read horoscopes or done anything else u get a curse from God that goes down a few situations.
Depression, hearing voices, nifhtmares, cancer etc. Are things usually from the occult.
Did u ever renounce it in the name of Jesus and breaking the curse.
Derek prince has very good prayers to speak outloud

U can live under a curse after having tired occultism without having noticing it. Thats how it gets carried down generation over generation.

Demi, I read your testimony, and it sounds like you were helped by the 3 hour deliverance. And to Hevosmies, I also watched a documentary of how a man with persistant depression was helped by one of those marathon deliverances. Severe depression can be a sign of severe demonic oppression that can best be helped by the teamwork deliverance. But, one problem with deliverance, according to the Freedom in Christ Ministry-- (Dr. Neil Anderson--"the bondage Breaker" book also Victory over the Darkness" and "Walking in Freedom") Neil says that, like Jesus said, if a person is delivered from evil, and is not prepared to take part in their deliverance and follow-up in their lives, they can end up with worse problems. True deliverance requires a very serious commitment to change. Which it sounds like you have. But, you may be helped by these books and ministry-- the "7-steps to Freedom" with the daily guide "Walking in Freedom" helps Christians walk in that Freedom daily. Like I'm a great example--sorry but not-- but at least I have the answer that will help. It is not easy to walk in freedom without a supportive Christian community like you encountered. But, at the same time, I have run into the same reaction from at least one pastor ( in that case it was a Catholic priest when I was Catholic) who said not to take part in any ministries until I felt well enough and strong enough and had a pastor's approval and assistance.

I know that the lady pastor's reaction was not right either to order you out of a coffee room fellowship. She was not compassionate. At the same time, you could have turned it around maybe? and won her over by saying, "I'm very sorry. what would you like me to do?" In that way, when we as Christians submit to Church authority, we are obeying the Bible also.

I think you have the potential, if everything is as you said, to become quite a spiritual warrior. But, read "The Bondage Breaker" first. They also say not to join any ministries until you are well established with a prayer warrior team and deliverance may not even be the calling God has for you. Neil cautions not to go out on any crusades against the devil. Just walk in humble submission to Christ and He will help us as Christians to deal with any spiritual challenges along the way. No need to go looking for them. There's no need to "take on the devil" and get enticed into personal battles like that. the enemies of God like to entice people into battles that we may not be prepared to deal with alone. Even Jesus had his Apostles and friends and Mary and all the power of God with Him. Same with Paul, Peter John James, Jude and all the rest. And there were lady ministers back then too, mentioned even by Paul who could be strongly patriarchal at times, so they must have been very good at serving the Lord. Even Paul made a point of being sure he was on the right track by meeting with Peter and James and John..

So, it sounds like YOU are on the right track, but just need a little guidance and humble authority and maturity in the Lord.

This is a little off topic, but, even in Sci-Fi there are good examples of not entering into battles with the devil. If you remember the scene in the first Star Wars where Luke was being enticed by the personification of evil that we would refer to as "the devil," the evil emperor, to enter into a battle with evil and fuel his rage and hatred. How did Luke win? He would not honor the "devil" with a prideful duel to the death and so won the battle, and in the movie, he was assisted in the end by the unlikely help of someone who chose good over evil in the end by saving someone from evil.
Rescuing the maiden is always there somewhere, who usually have hidden strength just by being women, like Mary.
Never underestimate the quiet power of women.
Another side-note, but I just watched the interview with the First Lady (America) Melania Trump for Christmas at the White House, and have decided she is the "wing-nut that holds the Whitehouse together" so-to-speak, to quote a line from the old series "Cheers," about how Cliff the postman, always had the right answer at the right time. Even though her husband commands so much power. She really is the back-up to that power, and she appears to be an incredibly strong lady who has endured a lot of storms with class and so commands a lot of power herself. She also happens to be Catholic if I'm not mistaken, which is a church with a lot of issues, but, still, they claim that they have sacramental power that Protestants may be missing, which is why they may have the edge over the devil in some areas. But, no offense to the Vatican officials, but, they looked a little scary on the video, to be honest, even though they may have good intentions , it appeared the devil was attempting to present himself, which is why we as Christians need to team up. As Churches we are FAR more powerful and effective, when we obey the Lord's prayer: "Father, I pray that they may be ONE," as We are ONE." So that the world may know that God sent Him. If our witness is divided, it creates a confused image for the world.

Anyway-- you get the idea. Don't try and fight the devil alone. Stay close to the Lord personally and in sane Christian fellowship. Stay in the bible and prayer each day, and learn and follow the guidelines in those books, and pray for and you will find the right chuch fellowship, especially as the Church of all true Christians approaches the storms of Revelations and the Apocalypse, and the return of Christ. He reminded me, "don't lose what you have." It does matter to obey Jesus with a humble, faithful assurance.

And thank you young sister-- for the long overdue teary breakdown here...
when you get over 50 you have to thank the thousand people along the way, psych nurses who weep with you, and all the positive and anguish of life that makes us who we are--

This is what can happen when we go after vipers alone!
Never leave your wingman (winglady)...

Your testimony ...

where am I?

Jesus said "I have cast the demons away from you, no one can serve two masters, with man this is impossible to love God but with God all things are possible, it may not be easy but I will strengthen you as promised by Philippians 4:13"

and I also saw a glimpse of wisdom

like a drop of life in the sea of death and darkness
like how Moses will split the sea for us
like the light at the end of the tunnel
I rather believe that there is hope, than all hope is lost
I was blind but now I see ,
I was lost but now I found
Psalms 40:2
he lift me out of the mud of mire and planted my feet firmly on the rock

and be thankful, that Jesus cast out demons, was lucky
or Romans 8:28 - called according to his purpose

In short, stay strong!

Hi Demi, have you considered recommitting your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior? It can not hurt to do so.
Visit your doctors for medical causes. Play praise music often. Throw away or burn anything in your house related to occult.

when one is born again, they become a new creature and are transferred to God's Kingdom.

If there is any anger about anyone, let it go, since that can give demons a foothold.

Visit some pastors and priests in your area to talk things out.

Seek out group therapies in your area. There may be ex-cult groups there.

Agape and prayers

That's cool Demi, I missed that in the testimony. May I suggest you take time to outline it for sharing with people in person down to two minutes. Start it with when you got saved and work up to it. If you read through the book of acts for fill, full and spirit. You will find we need to recommit daily to be empowered by the HS.

I do have a shorter version for when I share. Especially depending on who i share with.
This post here was originally made like 4 years ago and then i made a new one and added to it as a little update to the people who read it before and wanted to see at what point I was later after a few years.
Hugs

It was good to read your testimony. Love you, my sister in Christ! :)

For some reason I feel the Holy Spirit pressing me to tell you that the Holy Spirit can teach you all things (I'm not sure what the correct English pronoun (they, he, she, it?) for the Holy Spirit would be so I just wrote the full name twice).

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Thanks for sharing your testimony. You're a strong person for going through what you have. What doesn't kill us can make us stronger if we allow it to. We all have a story to tell and I too have been through my share of sufferings. I have witnessed things that are not of this world that most people would never believe. I can at times discern and see spirits. I consider it a blessing and a curse. It is a gift from the holy spirit though, but it was not until recently that I knew what it was and understood it. Although God is full of mystery and we as mere humans cannot ever expect to understand all of the mysteries that are of a divine spiritual nature. Last year God really woke me up and since then I have been in fire for God like never before, were it not so then I would not be compelled as I have been to share the truth and love of Christ with others.

Throughout my life I have also experienced many denominations of Christianity and as a result I stopped going to churches for a long time and during that time I distanced myself from God. During that time I also lived in sin and turned a blind eye as to what I knew was sinful and became complacent. However eventually things happened and I started to wake up. Now I am compelled more than ever to be a better man in Christ. I understand now that God had me experience numerous denominations so that I would be exposed to different forms of deception that occur widely in religion. Sadly there are many false prophets and antichrists that claim to be of Christ. This is why we must test the spirits against scripture and truth. Anything that contradicts God's word is not of God. I have seen the truth of what Satan is and what people will face from creatures that reside in the pit. Also, recently God has also revealed some truths about the powers that be in this world and the elite who controls things in the background. Sadly many children are harmed everyday in unspeakable ways. As someone who has also been the victim of child abuse I stand against such evils. Children truly are the spark in this world. It is my belief that children and even animals like dogs can sense things. I know that some babies and kids can see someone with the holy spirit and other things spiritual, yet they just don't really understand it. I remember when I was a kid and saw some things I didn't understand until recently. Life is a weird thing.

I'm rather new to this forum but perhaps one day I'll share some of my story as well. I think if I can help inspire at least one person then that is good. You have inspired me with your story, keep going and focus on Jesus because he is the truth and the way.

Its not easy to step out of your comfort zone and open up like this. I have thought about sharing my testimony before but there was always that fear of criticism and rejection. I am glad I obeyed when God led me to open up finally.
I am glad I was able to inspire you. GOD bless you brother
