Hi Sarah,

Welcome to a site with caring Christians and lively debate. I've already learned something new from you, as I had to do a Google search for the meaning of "tbh."

To be honest, I believe you will find what you are seeking here. What type of help do you desire at present?

It is encouraging to me to know that God chose us to be a part of His kingdom (Eph 1:3-10).
Haha, well I'm glad to hear God has already used me to be of service in expanding the vocabulary! :p Honestly, at present, I've been feeling "alone" not having true believers to connect, share, and grow with, and my desire to find that community has been burning, until God planted in my head to search for Christian chat groups, which is something I never would have thought of or pursued before. And here you all are! :)

Hi sis Sarah,
Welcome to Christian Chat.
And you got such significant bible name. I will encourage to hold tight to the hand of our Lord and Saviour.

There is no better decision that you have made to follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The days we live in are evil and it is our mandate to love each other as we love ourselves. And love is not selfish, nor seeks its own.

May you trust God's love more fully and my prayer is that you be rooted and grounded in love.
Love and appreciate this encouragement, thank you!

Welcome to CC Forums, my much beloved sister Sarah!:) I am so happy to have found another sister who is strong in the love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Please forgive me if I seem to be very wordy here, but you are such a breath of fresh air in a strange land that is quickly becoming engulfed in darkness. I do indeed want to be a hope and encouragement to you. Your post is a great encouragement to me. Bless you and thank you.:)
Thank you so much, and continue to be you - lots of words and all! :)

Hi SarahRachael, welcome to CChat :) I'm glad you found us, and thank you for telling us a little bit about yourself!

God bless you! (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

p.s. - I saw that your favorite Bible passage is Proverbs 3:5-6, so I thought you might enjoy this quote and linked message below it from Pastor Chuck Swindoll, since both are based upon that passage from Proverbs. Dr. Swindoll is also the Chancellor of Dallas Theological Seminary, which is where he gave the sermon (I believe as part of their commencement a few years ago). It's a fairly short excerpt from his sermon, just FYI.

Thank you for the warm welcome, and the passages of encouragement!

Hello and Welcome to C.Chat 😃!
I believe you have taken the first step in that direction your own, just by signing up. You will find a great many personalities here. Just feel free to cruise about the different threads, as you feel lead to go into them.
If you find someone you want to chat with and want to let them know you are trying to reach them, you can use the @IFOLLOWHIM or whatever the name is of the person you want to chat with is with the @ symbol in front of it. This will flag them to the thread you are trying to reach them in. There is a general chat thread call The Chat Thread that is good for just general chat. Otherwise, if you have the paid version of C.Chat then you can send them out of thread messages just to them or a group of people at the same time and you can all chat that way. There is debate threads, thought provoking threads and just fun ones like the Random threads that are just to have some good. clean fun. Hope this helps and hope to chat with you around the threads sometime!😃
This has been amazing and very helpful, thank you so much!

Indeed, He has!

I know the feeling, and your reasons for coming here are very similar to mine. I'm extremely cautious about the people with whom I will fellowship. As we know, not everyone who says to Jesus, "Lord, Lord ..." (Mt 7:21). There is also 1Co 5:9-13, where we are instructed not even to associate with someone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Paul doesn't even want us to share a meal with them!

Hello again SarahRachael, so you have no local church/body of believers, or even a Bible Study group nearby perhaps, that you can fellowship with regularly/personally?

I treasure this place as a Christian for a number of different reasons, but I think that I would find it impossible to live the Christian life w/o fellowship in the "real" world (so to speak) too.

I say this somewhat ashamedly, no, I haven't! It's something I've been longing for for years - any kind of community, friends that I can talk to about any and everything Christ-centred and Biblical, and I haven't found it. I'm an introvert (who can often socialize like an extrovert - depending who I'm around or my mood, haha), but for the most part, when it comes to going out into the community and just... walking into a church I've never been before, or attending a bible group at a church I've never been before where I don't know anyone, especially to do that solo, it's something SO incredibly out of my comfort zone (being honest!). So I've never done it! But here I am now in CC? It's a starting point, right?! :)
