???!!!

John 10:
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
The point being, Jesus died in the flesh, the same as we all do, and then he rose again to reign for evermore. Something that could not happen while still in the human flesh that rots and decays away.

So Paul was wrong to warn Timothy about making a shipwreck of his faith.

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck” (I Timothy 1:18-19).

(A person cannot make a shipwreck of their faith unless they first believe.)
Mr PS I am not feeling the love with all that red... just sayin

As believers we are called to have faithfulness to the faith, do you understand this concept .. salvation is secure... then we must consider our walk and discipleship.. that requires a steadfastness from us... so you see the delineation between the gift of salvation and then walking in that salvation?

Thank you brother Ed. It’s always good to see you and appreciate your insight. I hope you have an incredibly blessed day! 😎
Thanks. Gonna need prayer. I'm stupidly gonna play flag football with some early 20s dudes after Church today.

James did not say they lost it, he said they never had it

learn to read! No place in James 2 did he mention people lost faith!
Given the severe persecution that these Jews were under they were indeed believers... more likely they were afraid to proclaim their faith for fear of reprisals

Typical of OSAS who say they can live as they like and are always saved.

I do not separate anything. I became a new creation at salvation and live accordingly, as Christ would wish, putting aside the ways of the world. I am in the world, but not of the world and so should all believers be, otherwise they are in danger of making a shipwreck of their faith. I am aware of the pitfalls, you appear not to be.

I did not even come close to making that statement that we can live as we like... however your lens is definitely on yourself and your ability to stay saved.

That leads to two camps within NOSAS... those filled with fear and anxiety never really sure and trying desperately to become pure or the other... those who are self-righteous enough to think they have something to add to the work of the Saviour.

Believe as you will... many of us have tried to show you the way to grace, truth and security...not much else we can do.

For goodness sake. We would not be warned about the dangers of making a shipwreck of our faith if it could not happen.

sigh... not about losing salvation
Salvific faith in Jesus brings the gift of eternal life which is secure... there is faith after one is born again.

That's right, bring another cult into it to make your cult look better. I do not read any of this nonsense in the Bible.

And that faith can be lost, people can and do backslide. Believers are warned against it. Yours is a very blinkered religion and not the full Gospel.

Why are you bothering?
You have been accused of promoting a license to sin in a response to a post where you never said that and have clarified that.

Then the response to that is you are now bringing in another cult to make your cult look better.

So by reference you are a greasy gracer, a multiple cultic and encourage people to use the grace of God as a license to sin.

Do as Jesus said

Matthew 7:6
6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

Matthew 10:14-15
14 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

I know ... I am either a glutton for punishment .. or hopelessly hopeful.

Point taken.. thank you brother, :) I should not entreat someone who maligns the Gospel.

Why do you deny what is plainly written in the Bible?

What cult was she referring to?

It sounds like a pretty good one.

I've been thinking about joining one recently but I have REALLY high standards.

Sister,

I have been there.

It's very hard to take a step back.
We feel we have to prove the truth.
Fact is we just sow the seed. That is what we are called to do.

In the end it becomes a personal battle and it becomes personal.

Just do what the the Apostles did.
Counteract the lies with the truth to those being taught the lies.

It resembles the self-righteous Pharisees who think they can do no wrong and everything they say is true.

A new Christian may not have works but they are still saved.
A new Christian will have works
because they are saved
it may not be a lot of work ls

but they will not continue to live like they did before it’s impossible

Paul states they "should" not will

"Will" is Calvinism which is fine if that if what you believe, I think Calvin was wrong and used this method of interpretation as a means of control over his congregants.
I believe in facts
true faith does something it does not remain the same

Don’t come and tell me you have faith yet continue to live in sin.
John said it is impossible

and James said your faith is dead
