Whatever
talk about easy believing. You just proved it
their faith which had no works saved them
James said your wrong
God saved them because He determined their faith was real but you say it’s not real. Who said they have no works? They OBEYED Moses, bought lambs and used the blood to mark their doors on the night of Passover.

James said you’re wrong and so did Exodus.

Spiritual Life dude

passed from death to life. We who were dead are made alive. That life is eternal life. As Jesus said in John 6 we will never die

No one has been promised eternal physical life that’s twisting gods word
What happened to the resurrection of the dead which is preached in the Gospel?

I can't tell what pov anyone has, it seems many are confused and many responses can be taken more than one way so I'm lost on where everyone is coming from.

My point - as with the Bibles - is that any works we do are born in love.

The Bible continually speaks of God's relationship with Israel as a marriage.

In my marriage I do many things daily out of love for my husband, and he does many things daily out of love for me.

I don't see those things I do as matters of "keeping" him, he'd stay with me regardless because he's a solid Christian man, I do them because I love to see him smile, I love to help him because he's worthy of my help, I love him to be proud of me, I relish his love for me, and I do many little things because I love him.

It's the same with God. Love hangs from a tree for just a glimpse of the Savior, it trusts in that Savior with everything it is and has..

Love behaves a certain way, it has works, but the reasoning behind them comes from a changed heart, one reborn in love.
Hazel, the problem comes when one party then behind the spouses back is always in the bed of another. In the same way our sins are seen by God as adultery. God is forgiving, if we repent. But if one party loves the boyfriend or girlfriend more than the spouse then that is no longer love.
A husband can say to his wife "Its me or him. If you choose me then I will be faithful to take you back. But you can't have your boyfriend and me. That situation is untenable".
In the same way God says you can't have your sin and idols and Me. You will either give up on your sins and idols or you will not have God.

yeah carry on. Good luck in your quest to earn Gods Grace
You’re deceived. Salvation can be lost because it is conditional. That’s the actual link. Your link is strawman and makes no sense.

Yep God determined people who a day later would show no works and have no works the rest of their lives truly repented and had faith :ROFL:

God is smarter than that man. Your insulting him

It is where the spirit which has been alive is reunited with a new body
how can I be dead and need to be made alive if I am already living

Oh yeah. Spiritually I was dead and need to be made spiritually alive
you have never been taught this?

If it’s conditional
1 it is not a gift
2 it must be earned by meeting the conditions

I hope your just pulling my

Leg and do not really think otherwise

You’re insulting God because you assert they never had saving faith so God made a mistake to ever save them. It’s apparent you are here to make a mockery of yourself. Lol

But didn’t you just say eternal life is about spiritual life? So why now it becomes resurrection of your body? Lol

As I before said, The Gospel isnt a to-do list, its a message of the reconciliation of God with man. It's the Holy Spirit who molds us and shapes us and perfects us.

We don't come to faith in Christ perfect, we come faulty and broken, and we lay it all before Him. He takes us broken sinful people and works in us to bring us to our glorification.

"fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

He is the perfecter of our faith. Are you the Holy Spirit that you know the areas I need to work on most?

We are to encourage one another yes, but proclaiming that all (but yourself of course) are in a state of adultery and sin, is to be in need of removing that mote from your own eye.

Do you see a brother you know struggling in one particular area? Pray for him, offer to help him, encourage him in his trial toward overcoming it, give advice if you've been there too..

but strangers? Share the Gospel, share this message of reconciliation, share the love of God, His mercy, share salvation in Christ, share your testimony, share what Christ has done for you, love one another as Christ loved you.

Don't place yourself in the place reserved for God, the Judgment seat of Christ, humble yourself and place yourself as servant, and share what God has given you to share..

Strawman. Salvation is conditional on true faith to begin with and that’s what the Gospel said. That doesn’t stop it from being a gift because no one can save themselves anyways.

I hope you’re pulling my leg because I’m now starting to think you don’t believe in the Gospel.

All of them crossed the Red sea with a wall of water on either side. Ummmm, yes I go with the fact they had faith.

Read this verse below. I am saying nothing more than this. I am not putting a soft comfy pillow for your head to lie down on, tuck you in and comfort you in your sins. You can soften up the gospel all you want. But at the end of the day you cannot have Christ and your pet sins. The two are incompatible. He has given you the Holy Spirit (if He has given YOU the Holy Spirit) to put to death the misdeeds of the body. And I am not calling out your sins like you allude to above. That is between you and God. But you will know the areas you haven't crucifed. Because you love them.

2 Timothy 2
19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

What's the false doctrine your "fighting" against?

You appear to be fighting brothers in the faith, who believe salvation is a matter of Christ's work, and then Christ's work in us...

Your saying salvation is "conditional" upon your works - I patently disagree. My works can't build that tower to heaven, God has said there is one name under heaven by which men can be saved, and that name is Jesus Christ.

It's not "Jesus +1" It's Jesus alone.

We are broken, we can't do any of this without being lockstep with the Holy Spirit, without Him not even the first thing we do can be worthy, we'd end up just like the Pharisees, trusting in our works and rejecting His.

His work alone gives us what we need for salvation, the race we run we run with His Holy Spirit at our side, teaching us, guiding us, correcting us, comforting us. If we are devoid of Him we are devoid of salvation.

It's not Jesus + anything, it's God alone for our salvation. Our testimony is what defeats Satan, and our testimony is of Christ alone.

"They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death." Revelation 12:11

Once saved always saved.
You appear to be fighting brothers in the faith, who believe salvation is a matter of Christ's work, and then Christ's work in us...
They are fighting against what the Gospel plainly teach and continue to mock and give strawman arguments after the Scriptures prove them wrong.
Your saying salvation is "conditional" upon your works - I patently disagree. My works can't build that tower of Babylon to heaven, God has said there is one name under heaven by which men can be saved, and that name is Jesus Christ.
Did you even read what I’ve written? If not, don’t put words into my mouth. I said salvation is conditional on true faith, and true faith results in works of obedience. I already stated that in my last reply to you yet you still argue back with falsehood.
