The Pharisees would get so angry with Yeshua/Jesus and His disciples because they (even Yeshua/Jesus) were not doing the works that THEY thought should be done.

Yeshua/Jesus would go round and round with the Pharisees about works on the Sabbath. Even though Yeshua/Jesus, The Word of God, was speaking directly to them, they still rejected Him because they chose to do the "works," so focused on works that they missed Yeshua/Jesus on the day of their visitation.

I wonder what became of all those Pharisees........ How surprised were they when they had to bow the knee to Yeshua/Jesus on the other side.......

I prefer to be a "Mary" that enjoys sitting at the feet of Yeshua/Jesus, listening, loving and believing every word He says......... not busy with works and upset like Martha.

I wonder if Martha stopped what she was doing and sat next to Mary at Yeshua/Jesus' feet......
The bible is clear.....the just shall live by faith....NOT WORKS......

the bible is clear...to the one that WORKS not but BELIEVES ON HIM THAT JUSTIFIES THE UNGODLY his faith is credited to righteousness....

Not one person that believes in eternal security denies that we are to allow JESUS to work through us or bear fruit through us....the contention has been and will always be that FAITH saves eternally and NOTHING WE DO can help save us or even BEGIN to maintain that salvation which Jesus gives eternally

one person never gets high again from that moment forward.

the other struggles for years to break the addiction , going through cycles of sober and not.
Key.
The true believer is characterized by his struggle with sin.
The unbeliever is characterized by his struggle with righteousness.

And as you work to stay saved
How is continuing to believe in Christ in order to continue to be saved working to stay saved?

I know a big part of breaking down people's indoctrinations is just getting them to hear what you're saying and not hearing what they automatically think you're saying, but this one point has proven to be a real toughee with the osas crowd.

The argument is 'you must continue to believe in Christ to be saved', not 'you must continue to do works to earn salvation'.

Jesus = irrevocability.
....as long as you stay in Christ.

24As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25And this is what he promised us—eternal life. - 1 John 2:24-25

That's why you should keep believing in Christ.

That equates to maintaining your salvation.
No, it is continued belief in the one who grants and maintains your salvation.
Faith/ believing is only a conduit.
Believing, in and of itself has zero power to save a person. It only gives you access to the one who can.

your focus is on the sin. we all sin. when you measure by that metric, we all lose.

but, the proper thing to focus on here is the saving agent- belief in Christ. if both truly believe, then both are saved.

Perhaps the reason so many are dead set on repeating the oft posted idea that Salvation isn't eternal...
The next time we encounter those who are dedicated to telling us our Salvation is not secure...
Salvation is both eternal and secure.
That is why you should keep believing in it.

24As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25And this is what he promised us—eternal life. - 1 John 2:24-25

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. - Hebrews 10:23

OSAS is false doctrine

Once Saved Always Saved, is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH, and we do not want to here your video by any False Teachers.

Here are a lot of Verses that PROVE OSAS is the TRUTH. No we do not even want to debate you, BYE.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Romans 4:4-5 (NET)
4 Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation.
5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.
Ephesians 2:4-5 (HCSB)

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,
5 made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NJB)
8 Because it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith; not by anything of your own, but by a gift from God;
9 not by anything that you have done, so that nobody can claim the credit.

Romans 5:8-11 (HCSB)
8 But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!
9 Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, ⌊then how⌋ much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!
11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have now received this reconciliation through Him.

1 Corinthians 15:10 (HCSB)
10 But by God’s grace I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not ineffective. However, I worked more than any of them, yet not I, but God’s grace that was with me.

1 Peter 1:3-5 (HCSB)
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
5 You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Romans 11:6 (NASB)
6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 3:5 (HCSB)
5 ⌊It is⌋ not that we are competent in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our competence is from God.

Philippians 2:13 (HCSB)
13 For it is God who is working in you, ⌊enabling you⌋ both to desire and to work out His good purpose.

Ephesians 1:11-14 (HCSB)
11 We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,
12 so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory.
13 When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.
14 He is the down payment of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory.

2 Timothy 2:19 (ESV)
19 But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

John 10:27-28 (HCSB)
27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.

2 John 1:2 (HCSB)
2 because of the truth that remains in us and will be with us forever.

🕆

We teach that Obedience has NEVER been part of Salvation, HOWEVER, Obedience is part of Our AGAPE LOVE, Rom. 5:5.

John 14:15 (HCSB)
15 “If you love Me [Born Again], you will keep My commands.

1 John 5:3 (HCSB)
3 For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,

Only Obedience that is done out of Agape LOVE, is accepted by GOD, and It has NOTHING to do with SALVATION or maintaining it.

1 John 3:14-19 (HCSB)
14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.
15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
16 This is how we have come to know love: He laid down His life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his ⌊need⌋—how can God’s love reside in him?

18 Little children, we must not love with word or speech, but with truth and action.
19 This is how we will know we belong to the truth and will convince our conscience in His presence,

For the unbeliever his focus is on sin. That's what he longs for.
For the believer his focus is on righteousness. That is what he longs for.

5Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. - Romans 8:5

Sooner or later you can tell if a person's struggle is with sin, or if it is with righteousness. Whichever struggle characterizes that person is what that person is. To over simplify the point, the unbeliever finds it way easy and comfortable to end up in a bar, and difficult and uncomfortable to be in a church--so you know where you'll most likely find him. The believer, on the other hand finds it way easy and comfortable to end up in a church, and difficult and uncomfortable to be in a bar. That's very generalized and simplified for the sake of illustrating the life and mindset of the believer vs. the life and mindset of the unbeliever.

Salvation is eternal and irrevocable.
I think what we're encountering among those who deny what is often known as OSAS, are those aligned with the Denomination that denies OSAS is Biblical.
The teaching that a backslider is damned is wrong. Our Salvation does not depend on our working at keeping it.
Think of the backsliders in the old testament.
Jesus said, Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. God does not forsake us, ever.

The Book of John chapter 5: 24 I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.

The backslider has already passed from death unto life. God at their repentance of their sins when they accepted Christ as Savior forgave those sins, and remembers them no more. And if we sin as a Christian, we have a mediator between us and God; Jesus Christ.

The Salvation message is one of God's irrevocable grace and His eternal irrevocable covenant with those who are His sheep.
Why would anyone hope to teach must less believe, their Salvation is not secure. Especially as we navigate this world full of sins.

again, missing the point.

desire or lack of desire does not save.

belief in Christ is what saves.

one's desires , one's behavior does not save or disqualify . belief in Christ saves or lack of belief condems. nothing else.

are you going to confirm this truth of keep pushing the lordship salvation lie of " behavior determines the belief or lack of belief".

what a lie that is.

Why would anyone hope to teach must less believe, their Salvation is not secure.
Salvation is secure.
That's why you should stay in it.

Our Salvation does not depend on our working at keeping it.
Is there someone here saying it does?

Jesus said, Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
...as long as you continue in what you heard in the beginning.

The Book of John chapter 5: 24 I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.
Key: The one who believes in me, right now, present tense. Not the one who used to believe in me and in whom the word they heard from the beginning did not remain.

The promise is for those who presently believe. Present believing is the condition for having eternal life and not being condemned.

if we sin as a Christian, we have a mediator between us and God; Jesus Christ.
That's right. Christians have a mediator between them and God, not ex-Christians.

So basically new OSAS and old OSAS teach that we can sin with impunity?

Bill that is a lie perpetrated by Armenians. The VAST MAJORITY of OSAS CHURCHES do not condone sin, and they TEACH that Obedience is part of OUR AGAPE LOVE FOR GOD and the Brethren. They teach IF WE LOVE JESUS with AGAPE LOVE, we WILL obey HIM. Most of the OSAS Churches existing in the world today are of the evangelical style of Churches, and DO NOT THINK CALVINIST DOCTINE is only Partially right; therefore we are NOT Calvinist, we be less than the 5 points of Calvinism. I only believe 3 or the 5 points of Calvinism.

Here IS PROOF THAT NO TRULY OSAS CHURCH can possibly believe that sin with impunity is a LIE.

Hebrews 12:5-8 (NRSV)
5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as children— "My child, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, or lose heart when you are punished by him;
6 for the Lord disciplines those whom he loves, and chastises every child whom he accepts."
7 Endure trials for the sake of discipline. God is treating you as children; for what child is there whom a parent does not discipline?
8 If you do not have that discipline in which all children share, then you are illegitimate and not his children.

Like I said, OSAS BELIEVERS, WE BELIEVE IF WE SIN WE WILL BE DISCIPLINED, BY GOD our FATHER. So it is an Armenian Lie.

Salvation is secure.
That's why you should stay in it.
I was born to it. :) Reborn that is.

Is there someone here saying it does?
You tell me.

...as long as you continue in what you heard in the beginning.
No, that's not what He said.

As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25And this is what he promised us—eternal life. - 1 John 2:24-25

That's right. Christians have a mediator between them and God, not ex-Christians.
You should read the entire chapter so as to understand its context.

The Book of 1st John chapter 2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

As I've said, you and those who are in your Denomination are free to believe your Salvation is not secure. However, the Bible when the scriptures are understood in context teaches eternal security.
For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.

And Jesus would get so angry with the Pharisees because they were not doing the works He said should be done.

What are the two issues?

There are those who are prideful and thinking they maintain salvation.

Then there are those who are afraid of losing salvation but believe in Jesus.

Do you believe both groups are lost or only those who are prideful?
Then there are those disciples who love Jesus and are neither proud nor insecure.
