When i set out to do something i don't care if people like it or not. If i like something, i go after it,and its between me and God. I do what i do in faith, and in grace, not walking on eggshells or with the fear of making mistakes like most believers are taught to do. Whatever little opinions i have, or comments people have about it positive or negative is for themselves, and i wont stop till im finished. Instead of trying to "look" or "appear" to be Christian, or socially acceptable, just be, and have faith in God in the things you do, rather than seeking the approval of others. If you chase people for approval, you will find yourself on a neurotic bipolar anxiety fun filled road of mental instability.
If i could give any type of advice it would be to start trusting and having faith in God showing grace over whatever it is you are pursuing. Yes, people wont approve, but what you do is between you and God. If you have faith that He is ok with your art and you are ok with it, you don't need a middleman or a 2nd authoritative opinion. Learn to be transparent with God, and learn to not care about what you think through the views of others. If you did something in faith, believing that God was fine with it, leave it at that. No more discussion, no more opinions beyond that, despite what you or others might say as additions....
Just know if you do this, you will be labeled as arrogant by a lot of other Christians, and you will lose all the brownie points you hoped to accumulate from them. But that falseness will be traded in for peace of mind in everything you do as you walk like this in faith with God.
